Advice with Ricardo
It took me a while to realise that my Slash-focused Shi team probably is not going to work here. Now, I have two options that, on a glance, have a chance here and are realistic to build with IDs I already have:
- Liu Assoc. I have a full set on uptie 3 + 40 lvl Ishmael, so I just need to level them up. A bit apprehensive about the lack of dodges and bigger commitment.
- Cinq Assoc. Again, have a full set on uptie 3 and Sinc on lvl 39. Good dodges + pierce, and less IDs to level up but a) is it enough pierce? b) can you even dodge couters?

Thoughts/suggestions/caveats?

Builds here are less of a thing, you need blunt, good speed, some tankines and AoE/high clashing EGOs. Liu Ish is a good pick, as for other liu members not so much. While cinq have some good clash/dodge values for first two waves but fall flat in the dps race that is the third one. Oh and it worht to mention that Ishmael is immortal so long she isnt the only sinner left.

If you just want to win and dont care with clear speed then take KCorp Hong Lu (Support if you dont have him) since Ishmael is immortal as long as other sinner still alive so naturally you take KCorp Hong Lu in since hes immortal (Dont spam his Guard or he will dies overdose, just let him clash/lose clash since he has 4 revive)

So its Liu Ishmael + KCorp Hong Lu, the rest can be whatever, so long as you can gain 5 Glut for KCorp Passive.

Ishmael is immortal
Huh? Does the game tell it somewhere?
Then it seems that the best approach is just Liu Ish to do and take all the damage + 1 tank or dodger to witness the glory and prevent her from dying? Will experiment.

Mucho thanks for the info, guys, think I'll be able to get through it now.

No. No. Yes. Yes. Yes. Ishmael LCB Sinner & Emil Sinclair N CORP. The One Who Shall Grip.
She redirects all Attack SKILLs that target him. He saves as many Attack SKILLs 2 & 3 as possible. He Clashes if she can't redirect all.

WAVE 3 / 3. If he uses DEFENSE SKILLs Make This Memorable / Swear Vengeance, use his Attack SKILLs 2 & 3. Her DEFENSE SKILLs Clash against those DEFENSE SKILLs to Offset them.

Bring people who have blunt resist and deal good blunt damage, N corp Sinclair is very good for this fight. For the first two waves, try to build up resources and avoid taking too much damage. Before clearing wave two, try to use up your bad skills.

On wave 3, you don't want to clash Ricardo he will rolls very high. Its better to do one sided attacks and try to deal as much damage as possible. Crows eye view is very useful for this because it means everyone can outspeed him and avoid taking a one sided attack. When he activates test of the big brother, get one of you sinners to offset his evade by 'clashing' it with a defensive skill. For the rest of your party, focus on damaging him as much as possible.

When he uses his counter, its very likely that whoever hit him first will get staggered due to how high it rolls. You can basically bypass this with LCB Ishmael, who has the best base speed range in the game, since she is immortal.

Add me if you need N corp sinclair. If you want any IDs that aren't in here let me know

Blunt resist won't matter too much.

When he gets the Test of Big Brother status, attack him with a bunch of strong S2/S3 blunt attacks. Don't bother clashing with HIS attacks (Focus all attacks into 1 of his skill slots), since you should be able to get him to stagger before he counterattacks.
This fight is way simpler than it seems at first, I was confused after I cleared it.

If you want to cheese it you can simply bring ishmael and one id that can survive for the first turn (and do blunt damage ) then just clash everything whit ishmael,
this work because ishmael is imortal if there is at least 1 party member alive

whats your team and their levels?

Just hope you roll good, there's basically no strategy to this. He's immune to a bunch of debuffs for no reason at all. It isn't even listed. PM has no clue what they are doing with the combat system in this game, so it's just bloated stats to try and "challenge" people by repeating fights until your coins come out close to average, while enemies at negative sanity flip nothing but heads every round.

The round you're supposed to hit him, before doing his big attack, you need to flip over an 18 or so to hit him. This is even while at -7 attack and -5 defense from EGOs, because he simply does not take penalties.

genuinely a skill issue, you aren't even meant to clash him

Then why does he have a passive designed around him losing three clashes?

nice to have if you have EGO that can roll high enough but you dont need it to win, you can beat the fight without even triggering it
