stuck on papa bongy

I'm soft locked at papa bongy and can't even participate in the events because I haven't beaten the 3 interlude... The boss just seems way to overpowered since he can not only just spam chickens but also somehow manages to stagger my characters who have a 0.5 resistance to blunt. In fact I think the units I picked with a weakness to blunt actually lasted longer, since they're my strongest units. Even spamming ego abilities doesn't work to overpower his ladel ability...
I've tried simply just blitzing his body parts to stun him but they don't even stay broken...

I don't remember him being difficult, so i think you're underleveled and or low uptie, you know how to use supports ids?

If you take heavy damage on a resist attack type, it is likely your sin affinity resistance get wrong.
You may switch resistance by using TETH or above ego.

Also his multi coin with the high clash power is best to be dodged than clashed, That's how I beat him, because that one specific attack has the potential to insta-gib an unlucky Sinner.

Keep in mind I played Defaults, pretty sure an ID with Blunt resistance can handle it once but once that attack staggers someone it is curtains for them.

the best way to win the fight is to target the chiken bucket at the start and clash only the higest coin skill, then kill the litle bongy.
from there the fight is a breeze just continue clash whit the higest coin attack

its impossible to be underleveled since the dungeon locks your character at 15/30

Isn't that attack Wrath type? You know, the one resistance that it's impossible to start out resisting, because we have zero Wrath ZAYIN.

Ishmael, Heathcliff and Mersault have decently cheap Wrath EGO that can flip them over to quartering the damage from that attack, but the thing is, it's also a tremor move that will end with a burst, so it can stagger even the hardiest of tanks.

It's probably a good idea to bring in characters with SP restore abilities. I don't know how easily the OP can get them, but my easiest pick is N Faust, with a Lust party.

tried that. after I broke the bucket the boss just cheated and buffed its attack.
