5.5 Dungeon EGO resources not adding

This is the third time I reset the dungeon because I wasn't prepared for the boss battle (the bamboo-hatted kim ?) and just now noticed that the EGO resources disappear after every battle. I'm not sure if it's supposed to be like that or some sort of error. If it is an error how do I fix it?

also any tips for beating the boss? Don't know why this is more stressful than facing ahab's trio

Yes. Use Identities with Attack Skills that Inflict Status Effects Bleed / Unique Bleed.

Starting E.G.O. Gifts must be Rusted Muzzle / Smokes & Wires. Get as many E.G.O. GIFTs as possible. Use Rest Stop for E.G.O. GIFTs Fusion for last 1 then use both of them for E.G.O. GIFTs Bloody Mist.

Bamboo Hat kim from story ?

Nuke it with damage when he is low hp because he has nasty mechanic when reach very low hp, he start using very strong AOE to wipe your team.

you kill him before he kill you.

It's a story dungeon, those specifically gates what resources you can bring so it isn't a steamroll. As for Kim, he's a clash and DPS check. Bring lots of slash and pride IDs whilst also making sure they can actually beat his numbers. He's a negative coin user that gains sanity on lose and lose it on win, so whittle him down before bursting with everything once he staggers.

Yeah, I was pretty close on getting him. He was at 4 hp until gregor lose clash. I died a little when he gained his hp back and proceed to nuke half of my team for the first time.

For the slash ids I have on sas4 faust, heathcliff, and kurokumo rodya. But middle sis don have been carrying me throughout the dungeon because the others keep losing clash.

The whole time I've been relying on bleed status by using ring yisang, tintang hong lu, and rcorp mersault. I'm debating whether I should uptie and level up more 00 ids just for this occasion..

I DID IT- I leveled up base ryoshu and bl outis for more slash and pride- still used middle sis don tho
