[Spoiler] What are the odds of getting the same Erlking Heath as ID?

This isn't a post about if we are getting an Erlking Heathcliff as an ID or not, but rather a theory-lore post about what we might get as an ID (Not to be confused with what PM has planned, obviously)

As everyone that has reached the end of the story knows, Heath and Cathy both have a connection with each other through all of the Mirror worlds. This also applies to Erlking Heathcliff. Removing Cathy means we've changed a lot of things about Erlking. Besides changing the fact that this was considered to be the 'perfect ID', he will probably be missing out on stuff.

Besides the headless mount (Extremely unlikely we would even get one as part of an ID), an obvious thing that we wouldn't be getting is a coffin (no Cathy, duh.. although tbh using a coffin as a weapon and shield would have been fun to use). As for his sword.. I'm not even sure. As for his hair and outfit, in practice, I heavily doubt PM would end up changing anything about it, though maybe some minor adjustments at best.

In the end, I guess it's up to PM if they end up releasing an ID that is actually based on the Erlking we fought, or if we end up with something different.

Erlking isn't just a ID. Just like any other Heathcliff identity he exists as a person in his own mirror world.

Well, going by what they've released in the last 3 seasons, the logical expectation is that we will get some kind of Erlking related ID, as all the other characters were based on the "Final Boss" that tied their stories together in their respective Cantos. Kromer for Sinclair, Dongbaek for Yi Sang and Ahab for Ishmael, each one more or less succumbing to their sins and becoming the villain of their story and fulfilling their alternate destiny, if that makes sense.

The conclusion of the Canto and the purging of Cathy across all realities certainly makes things a bit weird here, and may indeed signal a break from the last 3 seasons. Perhaps we will get a version of Heathcliff that does not become twisted like the last 3 sinners, and becomes the exact opposite? A "white knight" version of Heathcliff maybe? Highly doubtful to be sure, but it would certainly be interesting to see.

Like. I could think they might make alternative skins for Base ids. (Cause the first fake Heathcliff is basically a near Carbon copy of our Heathcliff).

nu-uh, in maid faust's id sinclair is a butler tasked with cleaning…probably.definitely not hindley though

We're probably going to get a version of the earlking, we've gotten every other major villain so far after all (farmwatch who? Take your meds, there's no such thing as a farmwatch), although I suspect he's not going to be called "Earlking heathcliff". The wuthering heights IDs have brought up "The wolf" in their uptie stories which is the version of earlking heath that we're probably going to get.

While I would love Erlking heathcliff for the funnies, I don't think its possible. Whatever powers they unlocked their quest to kill all heathcliffs only occurred because of their extreme love for #####. So literally their possibility just doesn't exist anymore, it can't exist without her. If we get Erlking, it will be the version of them that exists without #####'s influence, or it'll be as heathcliff's ego once we start seeing those. Since I can imagine the two of them having very similar evolutions of power, even if the nature is opposite.

your a bit off
the erlking was spreading between mirror worlds like a virus murdering the "native" heathcliffs and creating duplicates of himself that would attempt to copy themselves into new worlds as well.
considering that only 1 set of manor goons could be got per world invaded the erlking we fought must have been dozens of generations from the original.
now big problem here is when whats her face yeeted herself from existence the mirror worlds used the erlkings rather than reload the native heathcliffs they killed so a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of worlds heathcliffs are now the paradoxical new game pluses of a now impossible conqueror of worlds and have a lost effluorescenced ego with a lot of enslaved souls folded in it bubbling beneath the surface causing all kinds of weirdness if he didn't spawn a whole abnormality out of it
so now we got weird stuff like the erlking in the wuthering mirror world without whats her face and outside his original world and probably echos of the erlking in a lot of other ids too where he has less reminders of what he was to trigger a full resurgence of this paradoxical nonsense
