6-44 "The Erlking" Help?

I don't know what happened!

I was winning and staggering and got the guy to 3 digits! Then he decided to do this AoE attack on my team leaving me with this! What's going on!? I was so close!

This is just so unfair!

The people in this thread, Reddit, and Discord are all complaining that everything is easy now because of the nerfs! Wut!?

And then their's Nelly and the final boss fight after this...

I think you missread the skills being used by Erlking Heartcliff.

Given you on the Red Barrier part. You had to kill the red barrier carrier. and then after that. kill All the Dead rabbits. Cause they give Erlking Heartcliff a +25% Damage buff.
(The AOE skill haves a -100% damage if you got red barrier. but gets +25% damage per surviving ally. -Wild hunt of Desolation).

In the terms of the Final duo boss. It was Soloed with Base Heartcliff. With would say how ''Eazy'' it has been made.

Beated this stage from second attempt pre-nerf. Just try to think carefully and take your time, it's not like you are on clock.

I most certainly will, don't you be worryin'. Git gud and deal with your skill issue, the issue of incapacity to read and perform proper teambuilding.

But, I will also give you some advice, since in order to git gud one must be taught. The main thing here is reliably binding Erlking Heathcliff by clashing him with your Heathcliff and killing his barrier-bearing minions to nullify some damage from his skills. What's your teambuilding? lvl 4-45 t4? Or underleveled? What egos you use? Do you have Rime Shank?Maybe new sinking egos for Gregor and Yi Sang? You will need them and some healing egos in case things go south.

You can try a completely different team as well. Burn also works quite well this chapter, since it's all blunt and we have a lot of high-health targets.

I'm not posting this to brag but before I took it upon myself to do this boss fight, I was expecting to get frustrated and make a lot of threads asking for guides and help just like before!

But in the end, all I did was pick the right units and win-rate the whole thing! This is the team that I used!

All I did was make good clashes and focus the right unit down. along with the occasional EGO clashing here and there!

Did I just got lucky? What's going on?

another case of projectmoon fan not reading. you need to defeat the enemy with the same shield as erkling heathcliffe. so when erkling obtains gloom shield you must kill josephine cause she has the gloom shield and in wrath shield you must kill the hindley distortion to avoid the nuke attack he uses

i am being a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ with this statement. but you cant complain about people calling you to "git gud" when you yourself dont even understand the main gimick of the boss fight and couldt take the half a second time to check and read to see what went wrong with your run you just gone to discussions and claim the fight is unfair

Specifically. As i said(During that stage). You have to kill the barrier carrier (Red 1). Then
You have to kill all 4 (or attempt to) the dead rabbits.(they take 100% extra damage if you had red shield). after wich you just ''Tank'' the AOE(with should be eazy cause it deals next to 0 damage. as well give the boss a bunch of Bleed).

all you have to do is to read the gimick of the fight. kill the enemy with the same colour shield as heathcliffe and your safe from the big aoe attack, you know? since the attack of the aoe literally says "do 0% damage if enemy has wrath shield"

Done!

I focused on the mook that have the same coloured shield as Erlcliffe and then beat him up every chance I get!

I managed to survived that AoE attack too! My team managed to kill all the mooks in time before Erlcliff can unlease the attack! He only dealth 13 points of dmg after that!

Each one has some effect for when you hit him while he's shielded. Gloom inflicts SP damage on your dudes, inflicts Sinking on Erlking and gives him Offense Level Up. Envy gives him + offense, -defense, and inflicts +2 Bleed and Bleed Count on your guys (I think it might be per hit, even, so more coins = more bleed on you, but don't quote me on that).

You could try to work around it by using Evade/Guard against Erlking Heath's attacks until you can pop the add and remove the shield from him, at least, or go with healing through it with Faust Fluid Sac/Meursault Pursuance/Rodion Pursuance EGOs.

or

if his shield blue, attack with purple, vice versa. get the same shield by KILL the foes before Erlking AOE unclashable attack,is a must. on the phase when he got the red shield and the dead rabbits pop up, you must kill those rabbit, i basically spam my aoe ego on them to get the shield.

also i recomend you bring fluid sac faust (or similiar) ego for heal
