People's Teams For 6-34+
I'm interested in the teams people have been using for part 3 of this Canto, because I've been seeing a lot of people talking about Sinking, but haven't quite understood it myself. That, and I just think it's interesting to see what folks use under certain circumstances.

Also, for those who have struggled with this Canto, I am particularly interested in hearing your teams, as well as wondering what your overall ID roster is like (obviously not each individual, but the gist of things, like what sorts of IDs you have and what you lack).

My team was:

2 Slots: Regret Faust, UT4 and Lv45. I found her Coin Power Down really helpful. Also loved how often she can just attack 2-3 targets.
Magic Bullet Outis, UT4, Lv45. Her S3 is pretty much just a free use of an EGO with how good it is. Great clasher, and again great at damaging a lot of targets.
SpiceBush YiSang UT4, Lv45, traded into Cinq Sinclair, UT4, Lv45. Nice for multi-target attacks at first, but later I just needed clash power.
K Corp Hong Lu, UT4, Lv40, traded into W Corp Ryoshu, UT4, Lv40, again traded into R Corp Ishmael, UT4, Lv45. Just wanted some burst damage, and Ishmael felt more consistent than Ryoshu.
Pequod Heathcliff, UT4, Lv40. I should've leveled him up, but I was hoping I'd be able to get Oufi Heathcliff ready in time before part 3. I did not, so I made do with what I had, what with XP being at something of a premium with the level cap increase.

Maxed level and tiered Pequod Heathcliff, Pequod Ishmael, Pirate Gregor, Rhino Meur, Grip Faust and Hook Hong Lu. Only EGOs I've used are Meur's chains, Heath's bodysack and Faust's fluid sack.
TEAM that get resources for Chains of Others, Status Effects Sinking TEAM, & TEAM that get resources for Faust Fluid Sac.

Sinking was obviously the MVP up to around 6-35. Tried Tremor on a whim for the remainder of the fights and was shocked at how good Oufi Cliff felt, and how much better it's ♥♥♥♥♥♥ overall. Used a little bit of burn and poise but they didn't shine nearly as much.

Sinking: Suncliff, Gredgar, Outephine, Dieci Hong, Dieci Rodya, Spicebush Yi. Outis was swapped out for R Ish when appropriate. Given the new IDs my sinking comp needs tuning, wasn't keeping up count super well without ego spam.

Tremor: Oufi Heath, Spicebush Yi, Regret Faust, Molar Outis, Molar Ish, Rosespanner Rodya
I was shocked at how much easier it was to maintain tremor count, even without needing to spam Rodya's Effervescent Corrosion. Oufi Heath cleaned up even without the bonus power from Bereavement.

Tremor is absolutely solid for some of these bosses, despite the Sinking focus of the latest IDs.
Emphasis on SOME. The reason Sinking is so useful is because enemies gain sanity so quickly that it's damn near impossible to clash them. A certain coffin boy can hit 45 sanity ON THE FIRST TURN if he gets lucky. Sinking can force them back down and make them more clashable.
True! I feel like Tremor is an aggressive "I want to disable and possibly kill this guy quickly," while Sinking is a defensive "I want to weaken the enemy so he doesn't get too powerful."
Where Tremor aims to end fights quickly through dealing big damage, Sinking aims to win prolonged fights by reducing the enemy rolls.
And if the enemy survives the stagger and still has a good chunk of HP left? Makes me wish I had the funny gloom status effect before everyone gets pulverized into a fine red mist

Tremor does tend to fall off once you burn through stagger thresholds. Maybe they'll release some nice hybrid Tremor ID's eventually, similar to the Poise/Bleed ID's.
I was running my burn team through it, so--in order...
Shi Rodya,
Shi Ish,
Shi Hong Lu,
Der Outis,
N. Corp Sinclair,
and R. Corp Heathcliff in Heath mandatory fights.
I swapped Shi Meursault in for the, like, one or two fights where Heath isn't mandatory and moved Der Outis & N.clair down in order when I did so.

Honestly, burn worked pretty well for the most part--stacking it on bosses has never been easier, plus I've ♥♥♥♥♥♥ a lot of practice at managing Outis's bullets. I run 9:2 on N.clair, so there were a few moments where he'd corrode into it instead of Impending, but even those typically worked out in my favor--even the worst ones didn't cause enough damage to risk me wiping. Plus having 30+ burn and tons of count on a target, on top of having dark flame, made blitzing the bosses down go pretty fast.

Only real weak link in the team was R. Corp Heath, which...isn't surprising since he's not that great in most of this chapter's harder fights. The story buffs still help with that, of course, but...yeah.

shi team is reallll
I think you meant the Liu Association, lol
Shi are the 50% HP berserk guys
My team was N Faust, KK Ryoshu, KK Hong Lu, Pequod Cliff, Pequod Mael and KK Rodya.

I have almost all IDs but I played this team for the sake of messing around with KK Rodya. She is bad. Pirate Gregor is 10 times better than her. At of all canto 6 fights probably only 2 or 3 she manage to gain meaniful poise count despite having BL Yi Sang passive and priority for action slot.

In hindsight BoatMael is way better than Captain Ishmael for this team and this canto for the abusable 10 base dodge. I didn't think too hard when I build this team and I just want to assist attack Rodya even if Rodya skill 1 is still pretty bad.

Most of people would probably say that half of my team is either bad or outdated but I still manage to finish the canto pre nerf without many reset. The only fight that require me to reset more than twice was the first cliff fight and that was mostly my own greed fault to try to stagger the boss so I don't need to bother winning clash but failing the staggering lead to cliff death.
