how make evade more effective

i saw some videos where people completed boss stages with solo, and they just used evade until get 3 - 5 moves

From what I've read the key is to evade the fastest attack from the boss, and then the evade persists for later one-sided attacks, so you have to avoid clashing to make use of it. it's pretty much only useless outside of solo strats

i mean, in normal fights where sinners target random enemies evade is useless, but where you manually target evade works almost a very well
