What does ([Sin] A-Reson) mean?

I've noticed that a LOT of EGO passives use this term to state how much of something is applied through them, buffs, debuffs, sanity, extra damage... But, what is this variable? How do I check what it is?

I realized how little idea I have about it when I used Don's base EGO and noticed that she wasn't gaining any haste or afflicting herself with any defense down, both of those effects are listed as (Lust A-Reson/2).

it's Absolute resonance, basically the longest continuous string of that color

The passives are kinda vague on how they function, but to explain:
If a passive says (sin type) owned, then the effects will only activate when you have the corresponding amount of sins owned.
If a passive says (sin type) res or abs, then the effects will only activate when you chain together the appropriate sins (example, fausts n corp identity has a passive that activates when you match 4 lust skills)
As for dons ego passive, itll give haste by the amount of lust skills chained divided by 2.

"Res" is your Absolute Resonance. This is 3+ skills of the same color in a continuous line, no breaks.

Example: Ardor Blossom Moth's E.G.O for Ishmael says

[On Hit] Inflict Burn by Wrath Res.

This means that it'll apply a burn stack where the count depends on how many Wrath-based skills you chained together with it. So, if you chained 5 Wrath skills together including it, it'll apply a burn stack of 5.

(note: i'm actually unsure if the absolute resonance has to include the EGO attack or not. i haven't tested it, nor can i find any info on it)

Res is Resonance, Abs is Absolute Resonance.
