Nevermind, I figured this ♥♥♥♥ out. I'm stupid.
TIP for those struggling: Don't reset when things look bad, just play it out
Tied Mar 20 @ 12:35am

No, theres no invincible ishmael cheese sadly

spoilers but you pretty much just have to get to him. To be honest, I wasn't entirely sure what I did but I basically struggled to get him as low as possible until I decided to just spend my last 3 turns pressing winrate incase you're just meant to lose. I looked awya on the final turn so I didn't exactly see what happened but I believe you're just meant to reach him and then let him wipe you. You might need to survive a certain number of turns against him or beat his first wave of goons first but I could be wrong. All I know is that even with hopeless clashes across the board while spamming winrate, I sitll won.

You're SUPPOSED to win this one right? I have been on this fight for two hours now, trying my hardest to get him to his second stagger. What's the strat? Hit him close to a stagger and keep him there until he does his aoe then stagger?

I just wanna WIN the fight, not even counting all the ALL TAILS flips at 40+ sp

I think you gotta stagger Ricardo at least once. I tried it with just rushing to death the moment I got to him and got a defeat.

I mean it the proper strat of one sided. It just Canto 5 without the cheese.

Tank hit and stuff

I used 3x blood fiend (Rodion, Gregor, & Don) 3x kurokumo (Ishmael, Heathcliff, & Honglu) team with N-Corp Faust support (4x lust resonance) to build up SP since Kurokumo wants lust resonance. Had bloodfiend Outis and Kurokumo Honglu as backup. Ended up losing 2 of my Kuro units, which isn't a bad thing since it trigger's Kurokumo Ishmael's passive. Gregor is good at tanking. Have Don or Gregor eat the counters if possible since they heal when attacking. Dodge unwinnable clashes or sacrifice a Kurokumo. Kurokumo Ishmael dodged a lot of Ricardo's attacks for me. Rodion can heal with Hex Nail ego if needed. I won after staggering his last stagger bar.

Ricardo is relatively fair as a fight. He works as an inverse to the Der Fluchschutze fight.

You want to NOT kill Ricardo's adds, as they will buff him up to severely high values that will make him a lot more dangerous to deal with. At the same time you want to split up the amount of Vengeance Marks you will obtain so that Ricardo doesn't start consistently using Unbreakable Coins to ♥♥♥♥ you over (specifically the Total Elimination skill). You do this by varying up who targets who so that no one ends up with too many Vengeance Marks (you get vengeance marks by hitting Ricardo's allies, but Werner also applies Vengeance Marks with some skills and his other friend has paralyze which can ♥♥♥♥ up your clashing).

Your main goal otherwise is to bring him at LEAST down to his 2nd stagger threshold to win. Their is a time-limit in place, but it is unreliable and can get you killed if you don't have any tanks to deal with the vengeance marks. (using the timer will also void you of the EX condition if you took too long to deal with waves 1 and 2)

The one edit I'd make to the above post is that you do wanna kill Ricardo's adds, just on the same turn that you stagger him in order to waste the buffs. The idea behind Ricardo was to stagger at the right time in canto 5 too, it's essentially the same strat.
Okat Mar 23 @ 8:00pm
save your skill 3 for ricardo on turn 1 and burst him down for the first stagger. that's the key to victory.

Don't forget to clash with the adds too. They are quite squishy.

When things look grim and you can't win the clashes, go for Dante's Speed down ability and just burst down ricardo for the next stagger point (that means don't clash with him and focus one part only).
