They have the money, since Limbus makes a million a month, likely more due to Steam and Walpurgisnacht. The issue right now is manpower, which KJH has expressed they are working on diligently.
Keep in mind, last stream they are aiming to get to 100 employees in order to split development into two games. Realistically we can see that in about 4 years give or take.
So then, and only then, can you see the possibility of PM making another game (Carthief is a known doomposter and was like this even back in Ruina. Take his takes with a lot of salt).
LoR was most probably their real proper game with much higher quality compared to Lob Corp, they were able to hire actual composers, well known voice actors, have proper music like Mili (and that other group, can't remember), better translators, better animators and so much more. LoR also had issue in production and their biggest one was income, later in the Early Access, they had to increase the cost of LoR as they were nearing the full release.
Don't forget Lob Corp and LoR are sold for dirt cheap
Improving the quality of their games gets expensive really quickly and you can clearly see that the quality of their games have been improving a lot. So making the argument: "But they managed to make Lob Corp and LoR just fine without gacha funding." is a very naive argument because they have had funding issues during the development of those two games.
Project Moon games had a very small niche fanbase during the Lob Corp and LoR era, so that plus selling the games cheap does not rake in a lot of money.
Oh he was a doomposter in LOR too dam.
Tbh even he is a doomposter some of his idea he give out are actually good.
But he focus on the worst case which basically can apply to all company tho which is not a good example. Since it as long as there is earn money in anyway = gonna be greedy sooner or later.
The main thing about this also. It PM was also overworked and some update in LOR kinda push back 1 day or push back 1 week.
Their Goal is to at least finish the game. Cause if they do not, PM will break their promise and they do not like that.
So even if there is Limbus EOS they will try to finish it by any mean.
It will just go back to the state where the work condition is basically lor again. And make no more game after that.
But still miss LOR Friday where Boss are in a more op state and beating it feel great before nerf.
Kinda like limbus in some boss in update.
In another timeline LoR could've been the gacha
it need a lot of work and care.
well don't hope too much specially today we can say gaming is decline specially American games that fallen into political with rainbows flags that release alot of flops.
korea, japan and china is the last hope for gaming.
yes we know what you thinking.
come one people think about it.
WHY THERE IS NO LIBRARY OF RUINA II, WITH LIMBUS GRAPHICS STYLE YET ?!.
REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
yeah we know limbus sucks its not as good as the rest of the games but are u guys rly gonna sit here and mald over why its a gacha
like yeah also i dont like gacha games and there was certain points that i got frustrated with limbus but i feel like limbus is only going up as of rn
