Can boost your 'perk points' in MD from base 60 to up to 120.
dont really feel strongly about it but i guess it did lose its initial purpose, and it's still a big nuisance for new players with fewer units
It's not like it wasn't a meme at the very start, especially when Burn Teams with Glimpse of Flames rule the MD Speerdrunning Scene. Entices players to use different loadouts, an available option and bonus whenever you switch, but most loadouts only need that base 60 cost for the "Level Up per Floor Clear" and "Theme Pack Refresh +3".
PM has recently been adding IDs and EGO that have benefits associated with killing or damaging your own units. While this seems like a good idea for taking advantage of unit substitution and adding more strategic depth while making gameplay more in-line with story beats about the sinners being "disposable", that also means that the 7+th party slots won't just be unit dump slots anymore. You might actually need them going forwards. It's going to be hard to fill those slots up with good units if all of your best IDs are on recharge, worse if you haven't been playing for the game's whole lifespan.
so tldr newer player will get really ♥♥♥♥♥♥ from the scale of 5 to 10 because they lacked IDs?

Such idea is completely ignorant. Rest bonus design already account newer players.
By tempt, pressure, lure or whatever you call them to spend more to pull so they will have multiple teams for "rest bonus'.
Sigh. I dread to think about new MD. How PM will twist our balls next time. If they cut the box yield - I am going.
