Is there some sort of trick? And what you will get for it?
Keep in mind they can't be staggered either.
Huh?
Sounds like... A pile of BS...
Are you sure there is no trick?
And what about E.G.O. gifts?
Maybe you need to have some specific combination of them?
So what a point of it then? Just overstat and pray to RNJesus?
1) Always have 1 or 2 single-coin skills at the ready, preferably on your Slash-resistant IDs. That allows you to hit the counter with minimal punishment.
2) If not hitting counter, use skills with most coins. Since Inquisitors lose 1 Instinct per hit, multi-coins are a way to win quickly.
3) Use E.G.O., if you have them available by turn 1/2. Better if you use AoE ones: more hits - less Instinct.
4) Pray to RNGesus. If you got unlucky enough to have 6 Instinct Inquisitor(s) and no E.G.O. by turn 2 - just restart, you won't win this one.
EDIT: They DO in fact lose Instincts by getting hit. But assuming you can't reliably beat the rolls (you can't.), you're not going to be able to prevent them from getting it back by hitting you.
Also you assume the team can even survive unstaggered until turn 2.
They have a passive that says "Lose 1 Instinct when getting hit". Thing is, some of their skills also give them Instincts on hit, so they can simply outgain your attacks. And yes, they can roll high, which is why you need to pray to RNGesus. On my run, I've won after outrolling both on 3rd try, so they had 0-1 Instincts both next turn, and the rest was basically cleaning up.
Hell if i know.
Oh, you mean that. Back ones are "Proceeding Inquisitors", basically a weaker version of the front ones. Which is why they have 1 slot. Front ones have 2 slots as baseline.
They give you trinket (one of 3 ) collectiong all 3 grants you a free passage to Kromer floor, without fight (same as rotten inquisitor insignia can solve a "floor is lava" event). Its pretty useless to fight em since kromer passage guards a way weaker and its faster to go through em than completeing this quest.
