Ex: first week of relese game they gave out free 3* ticket, now as reward for attendance event, pretty sure "Hell's chicken" will also feature one.
Oh yeah you're guaranteed to get 3* or EGO in 20 pulls from welcome banner so idk how u never got anything.
I never pulled ting tang hong lu, nor grip faust, 2 of the 3* that i wanted, but i farmed enough shards to buy them.
I suggest you don't rely on luck if you are looking for specific characters, also you don't need 3*'s, they aren't super godly must have's if that is what your complaining about. And not getting a single E.G.O or 3* doesn't matter if you don't have a character in mind that you absolutely want, and if you do, go back to the first idea, which was farming to earn what you want.
Plus, we have gotten free ego / 3* through tickets, a ticket coming up from the current event, as well as the beginner banner that guarantee's a 3* / E.G.O.
The biggest thing Limbus does is that it doesn't require specific duplicates to max a unit. Imagine for a minute that you pull a 000 unit that you really want, only to find out that they're only good at max uptie and the only way to uptie them requires character duplicates.
Would you prefer to have a pity system but you have to pull a character 3 times to max them out?
Or would you rather only ever need to pull a unit once?
Assuming a game's rates and F2P income are decent the second option ends up being a way better deal for us players.
Here's a list of other reasons why I prefer the way Limbus does things:
A traditional pull based pity mechanic is always welcome in any gatcha game, but I think Limbus gives you enough ways to get the rarest stuff that it's really not needed.
Of course this assumes that the things I mentioned above aren't "adjusted" in the future. I've played enough gatcha games to know they're often very generous during the first few months and then change into something much less friendly so we'll have to see what happens with Limbus.
As while this game does have a loyal fanbase, Limbus company itself is quite subpar in terms of it's gacha and gameplay. In what free players have access to, the content in the game, and how much people get for their money spent.
Decent gacha games give out 5 to 11 pulls a day. Not looking at you FGO, or Genshin though. >.>
This game gives what, 5 pulls a week?
Greedy company is greedy. Bad game is bad.
They dropped the ball with this game, and it looks like it's just a quick dip for some cash.
The copium idea is that they're doing it so they can fund a good game doesn't sync with me, seeing as they already had two good game releases.
At best you can estimate how many pulls you need for more resnoable odds like (1-odds of not pulling)^(amount of pulls)=x.
I like to go for x=0.5=50% since it's easy to set to 75%/82% and so forth.
Which would put the id at 5% chance of not getting it in 200 pulls.
Infact, tell me a gacha that gives even 2 pulls a day. The closest i can think of is Counterside which wants you to pull for a character multiple times after the dupe changes.
Also that game has a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of characters, since it's the type of gacha that can introduce characters endlessly.
The only gachas i can name where you can get characters endlessly every day are Azur Lane, GFL and Arknights(kind of). But all 3 of those sell skins and have alotta characters.
You need to understand there're different types of gacha with different business models. Even the creators of GFL made a gacha with a different style: Neural Cloud. Because it's a different style of game.
Edit: Also Counterside locks the Advanced characters behind there own banner which you only get 12-14(Not sure on the specifics) a week without premium currency. 11 of those you buy with 2600 gems.
Since the game limits the amount of gems you get a week to like 640 or something by giving you 10 standard pulls a week, they create a clear difference between those that spend and those that don't.
Just wanted to add this here, incase anyone thinks Counterside is good. It's not lol. Average rates, good character design and interesting story though. Give it a try if you want.
SMS gives 7, BA gives 11, Rnda gives 8, LO gives 5, GT gives 5, I think ES gives 4, Nikke gives 4, SK:NL gives 3, AK gives 2.
But I have to admit that the individual character rates in AK are something like 0.4%. so not too good. I believe all of the other games have rates ranging from 1% to 2% when off-banner. Some go to about 3% when on banner.
At least those games and LC aren't like FGO where your gem income and the rates are both bad. :D
