Not really. I haven't read any Asian literature (if we exclude manga), except the art of war back when I was a teenager. So, this will be a whole new thing for me, as in all other Canto's one could make some conclusions about how is it going to be even without knowing the source at all, since most European literature tradition kinda relies on Greek and Roman stuff from their era. Quite exited for this one, and Ryoshu's Canto as well.

I've been waiting for Hong Lu, my beloved's Canto for ages. I just hope it doesn't end up feeling rushed like Don's Canto was with all the fixers that didn't add much in the end and other characters getting more attention than Don.

I have a couple theories about how it will go. We may see our first incomplete ego from the sinners based on hints given during the Check Up. I have a fun theory that they may reference his original book by making it so that his eye is where the real hong lu is and the rest of his body is technically something that could be switched out. (Talked it over with a friend, we can't find a single rule of the Head that'd prevent you from backing up your consciousness into new bodies provided they aren't clones or machines.)

I think the most fun option is we find out his grandma turns into the next Yuri and that's how we finally get Hong Lu to care about something. She seems to be the one that gets him off his ass in every single mirror world after all.
