Limbus Company

Can we talk about base Meursault?
So I've still been trying to play base sinners in Limbus, and what I find quite odd is that base Meursault is the only ID that has -3 offense level. I understand that he's supposed to serve the role of a tank, however he was released before aggro became a thing, and he can't really tank anything with how low his speed is (2-3). His base ego is really strong because he acts as a support while sacrificing his own clash power, but overall his speed is just really lacking.

Also, do you guys think his offense level is lower primarily because he is the only one who uses such close combat weapons, pretty much his fists? I find it particularly cumbersome when I'm in an encounter and Meursault's clasing is so bad. He's really necessary for tremor however in a base team as not many IDs inflict tremor count.

Please, Project Moon, I beg thee, give more justice to base sinners

I suppose the idea is to spend money on better ID's, thus base sinners are ♥♥♥♥♥
according the story right now. Base sinners are only as weak as they are because they're being held back to the level of their weakest member. Meursault is actually I believe like... 4th strongest of the sinners, I forget the exact order.

Though also one of main problem with base sinners is that they have all the jank from season 1 on top of currently being restrained for story reasons. So like, if made modern day at the same aproximate power level? He'd be so much better. Your best bet for base sinners getting a shine is the story progressing until dante can bring out their efflorescent egos.

iirc when the game came out slower units were more likely to be targeted
Season 1, what can I say.

Base sinners would not bring money
thats all.
I think he was designed with only chained battle in mind where the slowest id get targetted more frequently that's why he is the slowest of the sinner and the only defense focused skill wise.
Their intention was that his low speed would mean that he'd be last and thus be the one to take the extra attacks first from the enemy. He's designed around the garbage unfocused fights, you can see similar design philosophies in Ishmael's and Yi Sang's base(+Roseate Desire) ego targeting the back line and crippling them.
He's just kinda okay for being a slot sponge that may or not get attacked. His support passive is nice for team tanks. That's about it. I wish he had higher speed; aggro doesn't really fit his "character" since he doesn't look for confrontation so much as he intercepts it curt and cleanly.

I suppose so, but then again R meursault does have aggro, but I guess you can argue that he has a different personality than base Meursault.

NHA
JUST PM ♥♥♥♥ UP AGAIN
Old system was "When uding defense sinner PASS" meaning their slot disapeared, making so the slowest sinner will get multi taget, like 2-5 attack easy, thus his Chain passive"gain protection" and gaining defense ins skill 2 and protection skill3, he would get 5-8 protection EASY
Issue, People are STUPID, CANT use it
Solution, Defense skil now Clash and Tank literally became USELESS
Go forwar 2 months and we got Agrro, which VARELY works as intended and is a Band aid
Only real Power u meurasault got is having a SIN on defense skill
