Limbus Company

Limbus Company

How long is main story?
Hi everyone, im interested in playing this game. Generally im not opposed if game takes 100+ hours to beat, but id rather prefer if it was around 50-60 hour mark. Howlongtobeat site says that main story+extra content is 60 hour compared to library of ruina which is considered 120h+, and thats the reason im planning to try limbus and not library, howerer ive seen comments on reddit, gamefaqs etc that it takes much more than that. I would appreciate it if someone here told me about approximate lenght of main story.

currently i'd say around 60 to 70 hours seems correct, the game is live service though so there will be more story eventually so it's likely in time it will dwarf libary's amount of hours for story completetion

Aside from the story being incomplete, it has all the annoying mobile game mechanics, like energy system and grinding for resources. I would recommend LoR over this game.

And how is LoR having 100+ hours of content a downside? Play half of it if you don't have the free time ;)
Tbh if all cantos get longer and longer, (And expecially given you are likely not beating some story levels first try) it will take Alot longer. expecially if you want all ex clears

It will take alot of RL time to get going, cus Energy and stuff. (1 energy every 6 minutes) Ofc early that isnt a issue due to leveling up All the time.
I'm a very leisurely paced player, and some days I'm not even advancing the story but just doing dailies, but I have about 120 hours. I'm at chapter 4.5 (the interval chapter) out of 7.5.

Even if we assume I'm only being twice as molasses-casual as an ordinary player, that'd still be 60 hours with tons of story left. But it's also a very digestible story due to how scenes are split up. You should give it a try anyway; it's not the kind of game you binge through in a week or two, and the gacha stamina system will slog you down from doing that anyway.

The story is long and will only keep getting longer. It's a road trip toward a horizon a hundred waking dreams away. You're as much a passenger as everyone else in the story, and over time you'll grow to know and love the entire cast as they all one by one wade waist-deep through their classical literature allegories.

Plunge into it, revisit it now and then without burning yourself out, and enjoy it while it lasts.
i think i took like a month or two going blind except for the occasional bosses making it so hard i asked for help on steam on those until chapter 5. since that i finished cantos within a day because i ended up asking discord what a unga bunga team is

It's live-service gacha so that's not really quantifiable, plus it also depends on your luck with IDs and your willingness to grind for resources to make those IDs better.

This peoples times will differ I'm at the end of canto 4 and spent like 35-40 hours playing, not sure I afk alot
Yes its a gacha game
If you want the story, you're better off looking for it on youtube or something than actually playing the game. You spend a lot of time farming/grinding aside from actually advancing the story if you want to have a good time doing it.

That includes some of the MD grind, which is a big part of why I just stopped playing despite being a PM fan generally.
please do yourself a favor and play library of ruina
