Maggots isn't really a proper status effect, there's a bunch that only come up on one or two EGOs, Like Dimensional Rift or Pink Ribbons, it's best to just kinda ignore them since they're so irrelevant.

Maggots, yes. A relic from bygone era of s1. Legerdemain is perfectly fine even without it, but it's still there.

maggots was added as a unique status resource, like rift and ribbons, and they only exist in the form of ego stuff. not sure if we will get more of it since it was from s1, but gregor might get it for his rerun ID when the 13th canto comes out (if he's the be the first in the lineup, they might change it after). would be cool to see maggots and poison

Maggots is like nails, its count becomes bleed count then it drops by 1. It also does Gluttony damage based on its count every turn like burn.

This is off the top of my head, you may need to double check this. I used a glut bleed build one time when I did solo RB Gregor in MD and he became nutty.
