How do you get EGO shards quickly?

I'm pretty new to the game (just finished canto 4) and i'm trying to get all the walpurgisnacht units, but since the only walpurg i played during was the full stop office one i have to get a bunch of EGO shards. The only EGO shards i have ever gotten were only from that Christmas event and since i didn't know what to do with them i just put them on random characters, and now i cant seem to get any. So, how do you get them as a new player?

Buy Battle Pass. Reach beyond Battle Pass Level 120. They give 3 Nominable Egoshards Crates per Level.

Recharge Enkephalin with Free & Paid LUNACY 3 times / day. Assemble Enkephalin Modules.

Speedrun Mirror Dungeon Normal Difficulty with BURN TEAM, E.G.O. GIFTs Fiery Down++, Hellterfly's Dream++, Hot n' Juicy Drumstick, & Glipmse of Flames++.

Yes. It gives you LUNACY if you use Weekly Bonuses. Weekly Bonuses give more Battle Pass EXP. Without Weekly Bonuses, you only get Battle Pass EXP.

oh ok. But what about the burn team part? the only burn thing i have in my whole entire kit is the new EGO for outis and everyone says that i should save my lunacy for the walpurgis

Use Dispenser to get Status Effects BURN IDENTITyIES. But it needs Egoshards. NORMAL difficulty is easy enough that you can win with anything. Farm is slow but once you get them, you speedrun faster.

You can save LUNACY if you want. Using them for Enkephalin for Mirror Dungeon isn't bad either. Dispenser has so many good stuff that you can ignore Walpurgisnacht Night for a while.

During Walpurgisnacht Night, you can also use Dispenser for stuff from previous Walpurgisnacht Nights.

using Burn is just an optimisation thing for people that have everything, Burn is pretty bad and relies heavily on Walpurgis IDs, but it has a busted EGO Gift so people recommend it frequently because they never consider that some people don't have every ID in the game already.
You'd start out with using what you've got that's powerful, and shift to status teams once you have more stuff.
Saving for Walpurgisnacht is a luxury for players that don't need anything. Spending it on pulls can get you useful stuff, you can just get stuff with Shards but there's a lot of grind involved, especially when you can't manage Hard MD runs consistently.

True. New players should use Dispenser more than Extraction. Yes. It's a lot of grind but it's better than using LUNACY for tiny chance to get stuff. It's fine if you don't have BURN. You start slowly but once you have the stuff, you go faster.
