Limbus Company

Limbus Company

A summary on every Canto
Each Canto is supposed to refer to a story from literature or another art.

Anyone help me here?

Canto I:
Canto II:
Canto III:
Canto IV:
Canto V:
Canto VI:
Canto VII: El Ingenioso Hidalgo Don Quijote de la Mancha (The Ingenious Gentleman Don Quixote of La Mancha)
Canto VIII: 紅樓夢 (Dream of the Red Chamber)

My goal would be to read every story. I read Don Quijote already, a couple of years ago, and it was magical.

Holy that's a lot of things to read. Right now I'm really interested in The Wings, since I'm studying korean.

To be fair a lot of these are simply references with how big of literature nerds the devs are. Such as the Wizard of OZ.

So you can skip a lot of these really, especially the fairy tale ones since they aren't super involved in the game besides being some of the abnormalities point of reference or groups such as the musicians of Bremen.

The main ones to read are the Books in the video. And then if you really want to, you can branch out to some of the other references after.

-I put a typo in the top, it's actually Kubo in the actual story. While gubo in Limbus.

For instance If you were really interested in Gubo then "A Day in the Life of Kubo the Novelist", would be something to pick up. It's not a very amazing book, but it's fascinating when you start making some connections.

Kubo is depicted as a aimless wanderer, which makes the fact that they gave Gubo the Fell bullet Ego Gear a very nice touch. I personally thought that was very clever.

I know, but these are clear influences of the developers in PM and I am interested in nourishing myself beyond the game.
oh, this game was a reason i've read 'don quixote' as well! i also read 'the stranger', 'hell's screen' and 'metamorphosis', planning to keep on reading more books, because it's catchy when the reference is way more deep when others think.
and yes, 'don quixote' is magical indeed, even though the ending itself is quite stupid, like this infamous story had a boring morale. main char just wanted to live with a dream, and he had success, even though it was more like stage play... still better than being normal and living the most boring life tbh :steambored:

what chapter of 'don quixote' you're reading now?
Oh I finished that a while ago, but I'm planning to read it again. I recently bought a Kindle because I'm usually away from home so it's easier for me to read there.
As much as I love the confrontation against the Knight of the White Moon, I gotta say I felt sad for Quijote when his dream vanished... So I'd say my favourite part is the beginning of his journey, when everything was just magical.
