Limbus Company

Limbus Company

Trouble loading the game after security update.
This bug (?) has been happening to me ever since the game security update, basically, The game starts up normally, but after i click on it for it to start connecting to the server, it completely freezes my computer (Don't believe it is related directly to it).

The only way i found to temporarily solve this was by clearing cache and downloading 13gb of files everytime i play.
I've tried reinstalling the game through steam, verifying file integrity and deleting files before verifying, and nothing seems to fix it completely. I have used skin mods before but i've deleted everything related to that, any idea on how i could fix this?

Same issue
not sure why it's happening, I thought verifying files worked similarly to clearing cache, now I'm understanding that it for some reason works normally on the reboot. It typically requires me to end task on limbus company's executable or exit out of the game fast enough it lowers the downtime on the PC.

Hope the issue gets figured out soon

I am unsure if this "fix" is consistent, has only happened 3 times, and the other 2 times I had re-verified the files, will update on my findings if the issue isn't found by then.

Edit: Coincidentally, if this is somehow a hardware issue with how windows is ending support on windows 10. My PC does run windows 10 OS currently

yeah this is happening for me rn as well
although instead of crashing it says reconnecting to server and after i press it this appears then the game closes https://imgur.com/a/k6iyWZT
An update on my end regarding this issue. I most likely have removed the need to re-download cache every time the game is opened.

When opening the game, have task manager open on the side.

The game while it's loading will cap out the disk utilization and for some reason the resources it needs exceeds what allows the PC to run so a really easy way to figure this out is to have some kind of audio/video playing in the background.

Now assuming your internet isn't dying from external means. You will want to kill the limbus company executable when you notice the video/audio stops playing sound, which indicates that it can't load any content.

I am unsure if you have to do this multiple times, but basically, doing these steps until the game fully loads will remove the long wait-time that's required with downloading the cache's each session.

If you're wondering how you will know the game is "fully loaded". The game will no longer be stuck on the start screen and transition to the loading screen.

I cannot provide any insight if there's issues after the starting screen

I hope this helps anybody with the same issue

TLDR;
This is not a complete fix, but a workaround until the issue is addressed

When opening Limbus Company:
- Have task manager on the side
- Open a video/audio on a streaming site like youtube or some other site
- When the video/audio stops playing, end task on LimbusCompany.exe
- Re-open Limbus Company
- Repeat Steps 3-4 (if needed) until Limbus Company transitions to the loading screen.

Same issue here, my way instead is just delete local cache, so its load faster

Does it really freezes though?
For me everytime I play the game and click the screen to connect to the servers, I have to wait for like 3 minutes for it to finally enter into the game, but the application itself is not frozen. It just stays there playing the music and connecting to the game servers while using 100% of my HDD. And the reason why it takes so long I assume is that because this drops my fps to 5~10.

Another thing I noticed is that sometimes when I'm playing and during combat gameplay I hear crackling noises coming from the components inside my PC case. Overheating? Should I be concerned about this?

I don't think this game was supposed to be this much demanding. There is clearly something weird going on.
