Is it worth to save up EGO shards till next season release?

I heard that half of your shards turns into threads when the new season comes out. I'm not sure if that's true or not. I'm just asking for confirmation.

Yeah they get halved into thread. But if you want to ask if it's worth saving them. There can be many reasons why and why not to use them all up. It all depends on you.

Well, I guess having a lot of Hong Lu shards is a decent idea. Sinclair shards as well, cause he is also next in line to get a WAW. I'd say there is a high chance Rodion getting a seasonal ID during the first month of Canto 8. As well as Meursault, as it's been a whole canto since he had a new ID.

But I mean, unless you can afford to have at least 600 of them, there is little point. Better to stack boxes, you never know. I hope PM won't do the ♥♥♥♥ move again, and try to put another id right at the end, to cut some shards/thread from you with FOMO. But I feel this Sinclair is the last for this season.

Sinclair the last ID? Nah, PM never started a season the moment an intervallo or any other event has ended, there's usually maybe two weeks in between (more or less). Also with the recent seasons, there's usually an ID that's tossed in that has a connection with the new season, like Oufi with Heathcliff's season and Zwei west with Don's season.

My advice for end of season management:

1) Go on a little shopping spree, dispense anything remotely interesting to you, especially from season 5 which is rotating out
2) Hold off on upgrades, half of whatever is left of your stash turns into thread, so you'll have some extra thread to upgrade your things.

PM has been very back-to-back with events now, so except that to be the norm and they are running tight. sinclair and oufi cliff are both standard banners that only had relations to the story later on BUT not in the same theme or manner of their portrayal in the story, in that oufi cliff is actual oufi whereas the one we are given in the seasonal story is not oufi, so it is probable that the sinclair we are given is a precursor, unrelated piece of narrative (but related story because of faction) that will pop up later in the story like how oufi did, and we already know that the middle is an important subplot being built up and its starting to become less and less a 'subplot'. its possible we will fight ricardo again in hong lu's canto and kill him there. however we still are radio silent on PM's magnificent transparency in failing to provide any dates that aren't ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ two weeks before they come out, so I wouldnt be surprised if my theory is wrong and we get another standard ID that is actually related to lu's story like how oufi cliff was, but I am hoping that we get more of the middle in that sinclair is the precursor ID for a minority of the canto and ricardo's group makes another appearance.

PM is a digger for FOMO now so very possible

Anyways, back to the question.

Half of it will be turned to Threads. All of the Shard boxes will also be halved. Yes, Red and Yellow.

Shards -> Threads
Shard Boxes -> Thread Boxes

IMO, Save if you already have the IDs/EGOs being offered on the Dispenser. Otherwise, prioritize getting the Season 5 IDs/EGOs before they get thrown into the Locker.
