Not that we run into them often, but the final boss of railway 2 comes to mind too as something that can just destroy your team in MDH pretty easily too. Though there are a couple of bosses in MDH that can easily be considered run enders if you fight them unprepared when they have potentially +100% health and lots of extra levels to make using raw damage numbers a bad option.
However altogether its Sancho, ahab trio, moth, slitcurrent, and KIM.
hard mode max floor versions of them is like a 50/50 for a win for me.
Well that, or 400 roses bloodfiends node
#1 - Masquerade (any line). Impossible unless you do basically 100+ burn/etc damage to all enemies every turn to stagger them or make the next attack stagger them.
#2 - Pequod Trio (MDH). Good luck not dying when Quee's HP and resistance is raised to such an astronomical degree even NASA has trouble observing it with their space telescope.
#3 - Pequod Trio (Story). No bloat, but without a specialized tank, GG.
#4 - Don Quixiote (not the Sinner). Unbreakable AOEs and Bleed. Yay. (Does feel like he got nerfed, that, or a Bloodfiend team really counters him. Regular teams get killed to 4/12.)
#5 - MY HAIR COUPOOOONNSSS!!! We all know this guy. We all hate him. Quite the "beefgate", but if they can't beat him, they stand no chance against the Trio.
#6 - Bloodfiend Trio. They get pretty insane with all the AOEs, unbreakables, and high SP. Beatable, but there will be some losses if you aren't at the top of your game.
I guess MDH also has other BS bosses but they just didn't feel worth mentioning beyond throwing them at the top of the list. Any other story bosses beyond 6th don't feel as noteworthy to mention, either, nothing that truly stands out as utter BS/OP.
400 Hundred-Roses Corroded bloodfiends. Duh... Turn Start: to a random enemy, deal fixed damage equal to 5% of their HP. Forcing usage of Healing EGO's ; If Sinner staggered because of their funny passive they staggered for a long xd
I'd love to see how you'd cope with pre-nerf Kroomer. F, we will not miss her.
And I am surprised no one mentioned original distorted heathcliff. This was the peak in terms of fights, a real challenge, not even chain spam could save you.
1. kim still hold the hardest boss if you f@ck up bring in sinking team.
2. the trio ahab before nerf will spam the stupid mark non stop with a lot of hit. the nerf reduce the damage, reduce the mark spam cha maganera and less coin number. new players just cannot imagine the hell we must face the first day pre nerf release ahab. she hit extremely hard and will wipe you out compare today.
3. headless fish yeah believe it or not this abno the first taste of hard abno boss that got nerf......................... 5x project moon give no mercy to the sad meme fish.
4. jun counter. ( yeah surprise he not avoid the nerf ).
5. kroomer before nerf she will easily bleed you to death.
6. the stupid green whale dream eating silcurrent, another abno you really hate the most. ( who the heck giving abno a power to reduce your clash power + paralize is good idea ? ).
since everything got nerf to the ground you can beat them easily now, if you know what to do.
Granted, some of the fights mentioned in MDH *can* be very hard if you intentionally pick all the +final, coin and base power trials, to make the MD run challenging, but I doubt many people do that.
If we're talking about what were the hardest fights when we were newer players and only had 1 team to clear the story, I would say Ricardo (didn't have good or leveled, blunt ID's, had to cheese the fight) Dead Rabbit Boss Heath and Distorted Heath (pre-nerf ofc).
Sadly, I got into LC halfway through Canto 5's release, so I never got to experience the Ahab trio in their original glory. It must have been something though, because in their post-nerf state (including their RR and MDH versions) they are more or less a pushover. A bloody shame, I really enjoy playing that fight with all of my status teams in MDH.
