Reset and revelation

how does reset work? and how to maintain Revelation? on Dieci's characters

I'm assuming
Reset = Insight
Revelation = Erudition

Insight is based on the type of skill that a Dieci character discards. Discarding a skill 1 will set Insight to 1. Discarding a skill 2 will set it to 2. Discarding a skill 3 sets it to 3. Insight is directly set to the skill value, so discarding a skill 1 while having Insight 3 will set Insight to 1.
Certain skills discard other skills, and skills will have different effects depending on Insight.

Erudition decreases when the character takes HP damage or gets staggered. You can maintain Erudition by having the character gain shield to block HP damage, by discarding skills.

If Insight is what you're trying to maintain, discard a Skill 3 and, on the next turn, click the character's portrait to generate a guard token in the bottom row, then only use the skill in their top row. Guard tokens don't get discarded, so their insight will stay at 3. But you'll have to win clashes or redirect attacks you can't beat if you want to maintain Erudition then, because you won't be generating shield from attacks anymore.

If I use 1 ability and have 3 in the slot, will it be considered discarded and I will receive a yellow book?

For Hong Lu, Yi Sang, and Meursault: Yes.

For Rodion: No.

Rodion's S1 doesn't discard. I don't know about Hong Lu's offhand. If you have a S3 in her top row and S1 in her bottom row, have her guard to discard the S3. Then you'll have 3 Insight on her, represented by a closed book.

Hong Lu has a reset of 1 ability. does the reset of 2 skills occur from already available abilities by type used and untouched or in another way?

I don't know what you mean by reset. His S1 reuses its coin up to two times, is that what you mean? At 3 Insight, his S1 hits 3 times. At 2 Insight, it hits 2 times. But he's the only one who uses Insight to repeat an attack.

Discarding skills only occurs with available and untouched skills, unless they are defense skills. A skill slot has two skills. If you activate discard, it discards the untouched skills.

This will discard the highest rank skill in only one skill slot out of all of them

This is only important if the character has 3 or more skill slots. If the character has 3 or more skill slots, he will pick two of them randomly and remove the untouched skills in them.

The "randomly" part doesn't make much sense when it specifies he's discarding in order of rank, so it can be ignored.
