Dieci Meursault
Any tips on how to use this ID? I use him with Dieci Rodion and Hong Lu but his Erudition doesn't work with their perma 3 insight gimmick right?

Erudition is mostly useless. Dieci Meursault is generally disliked because he doesn't hold up to the standards of his colleagues, and his support gimmick just doesn't actually help the others either.

Honglu wants to perma stay at insight 3.

Dieci Rodion not so much, you'd rather discard constantly for faster skill cycling, shielding, and slightly better dps. Same goes for Yisang but no one uses him.

Dieci Meursault is kinda underwhelming though. For one, there's not enough discard ids to make good use of Erudition, and two, his s2/s3 are slightly underwhelming numbers-wise.

I still think he is best used with Molar team, because they actually discard cards unlike Dieci people, who wanna get their 3 Insight and never discard ever again.

not really, the Molars aren't tanks and don't want to be taking hits, so a shield for 13.5% of their max HP isn't doing much. Along with the Dieci IDs not wanting to Discard past a point, Erudition just doesn't really help them, which is the other part of why people don't like Dieci Meursault.

He could be good in the future, just not now.

W Outis was kinda meh then the Multicrack IDs came out, and she became good.

Same. I tried him in RR4 on release, never understood what's his payoff, and thought that's I'm stupid. Appereantely I'm not, and he doesn't really has a payoff.

he's fun to use, I usually play him to get as much erudition and cycle through to his skill 3 as fast as possible while maxing out erudition. One of the better things about him is regret though since that's almost always going to buff his damage.

No Idea honestly. I tried, but I can't find any defining feature that brings some distinct value to the team. Hell, things like G-corp Outis do it better with their combat passive. Him, well, he is just weird.

Dunno. He deals his fair share of damage. Not as much as W corp and stuff, but okay numbers. And I for once don't really need more.

It does seem like they're balancing every Meursault ID around the expectation that the player has Regret and will pop it as soon as possible to power him up.

No they aren't balancing his IDs around Regret.

N, W, and R Meursault came out well before Regret. Why do they suck then, its a combination of factors.

1. because W and N came out on release, prior to PM changing the coin odds from 70% heads chance -> 95%. This kinda trashed a lot of IDs, but PM didn't bother to fix any of them afterwards until ut4, which they were lazy with.

2. R Meursault: they probably thought him having a million bleed count was too op so his numbers are a bit weak. You can also observe this idea in W Yisang. Why does he have a 2 coin 5-15 s2 and a fairly weak s3 for a charge unit? Its because they thought this would balance out his insane rupture infliction, which is maybe not wrong idk.
