in normal gameplay he's pretty ordinary, Deluge still makes Spicebush the better pick in MD.
In Future Diece team you would use Spice bush
when SL can go to Manor team
SL Sang doesn't seem particularly good at increasing overall count under normal circumstances, but he can reduce the amount consumed by his attacks
One: Sinking just plain hurts. It's good damage vs targets who are vulnerable to it. Two: He has high rolls coupled with a positive offense level. If you're dumping his S3 from a full clip, he has 8+5 4 coins. That works out to only 8 less base damage than Nclair, before we even count his inherent damage amp. Three: he's typically doing up to 30 bonus damage per shot through his mechanics on a dedicated sinking team since it's REALLY easy to get Departed to hit its damage cap. Damage does indeed go brrrr.
He's more designed for fully built sinking teams as a capstone unit, due to being count negative and needing a constant flow of Gloom Resonance to function. But damn does he go crazy if you have the tools to make him work.
I used him in mirror dungeon and he's pretty terrifying there too. Mostly because with EGO gifts his S3 coin power conditionals start geting fulfilled on the 2nd hit or so, so the coin power literally goes up as the skill progresses, which is amazing. And his SP regeneration is high there too.
I do think he's a bit slower on high health bosses but with butterfly you can deal over 99 sinking damage per hit easily so it's kinda hard to weigh against deluge. Like yeah deluge deals more damage but having butterfly means every hit by an ally deals like 120 gloom damage which is still crazy high.
