RE/P Ryoshu is Charge, right?

Is my reading comprehension that bad or is RE/P ryoshu still technecally a charge ID? Like charge passives can work on her and it converts into RE or P? It says "Unique Charge" but I don't trust myself.

Yeah, she's technically a charge ID because of "Unique Charge," the same way Nails is "Unique Bleed" and Dark Flame is "Unique Burn". She does have bleed aspects and will be affected by anything regarding bleed too

Yes. One of her passives converts Charge into one of her two Unique buffs. And her skill 3 swaps to a more powerful version when charged enough.

It's funny cause blind obsession is more useful to red eyes ryoshu over her red eyes ego because of this.

No slash attacks to make use of it's effect, and she can actually solo fuel blind obsession, unlike red eyes.

not really, she doesn't have the Poise to properly make use of it, so it's effect is imited to a maximum of +4 Charge (six you're actually willing to T4 the trashy thing). less than just using a skill (her S1 peaks at eight. an S1 can add more charge than that EGO), while Red Eyes stacks a pile of Bind which effectively guarantees the extra damage boost from the Red Eyes portion of her Passive, it also has a relevant Passive giving Bind infliction on Clash win, unlike BO which requires both Crits (which she has no POise to land) and Pride skills, of which she has none.
You're also factually wrong. She can't solo fuel BO. it costs 2 each of Pride Gloom and Envy, while her skills are Envy, Gloom and Lust.

there's no easy way to put it, Ryoshu Blind Obsession is one of the worst EGO in the game. it just doesn't have use cases and every ID that could make use of it gets more from Red Eyes. it generates less resources than just using normal skills, has an unremarkable roll and Poise/Charge will probably never have any real content because they're both self-statuses.

Must have missed the pride part, i only saw gloom and envy so that's my b. If that's so, then yeah, the usefulness of BO goes down drastically since i was under a different impression.

However, personally, i'd still rather use it in the scenario where ryoshu only has nothing but S1, in order to fuel her charge in the off chance that she needs a slighty higher coin to win her clash, so i'd rather take it over Red eyes. But that's for a very specific scennario that only hold true with the idea that BO was a much less resource cost ego that i initially had.

That was my blunder for skimming through them, but at the end of the day, i still believe red eyes ryoshu doesn't take full advantage of the ego's. They compliment, but don't pair together perfectly. It's better to build for other ego's on other sinners.

All in all, they are both not all that amazing. I'd just rather use her base ego for fragile that everyone can make use of, and have her He version be 4th match simply for it being a bigger beat stick if the need arises. i'll be using her base ego instead if I wanted to do it simply for a damage increase.

But that can easily change when uptie 5 comes around
