I mean like... Leviathan is complete and Distortion Detective was just KJH's personal pet project sorta like a fanfic at first. There's no team or management, it was just 1 guy writing it for fun.
These are probably projects more aimed towards increasing traction and fresh blood to the franchise. Afterall, a big reason for Arknights spike in popularity has been increasing recognition to their other media projects and works; annual concerts, record label releases, animated series and animation releases.
While they may not be things anyone asked for, they're probably things that could potentially greatly help the growth of the franchise, and in turn it's financial gains. Not to mention, these are things they can outsource most of the hard labor for without putting more pressure on their actual development teams for the franchise. Things they may be able to do without taking away from their work on the games and other more personally managed media content.
Naturally, regardless if these are the case or not, these are still financial ventures and as such, risk is always involved as to whether they'll pan out favorably or not.
Girls' Frontline, a Chinese turn-based mobile strategy game with gacha elements. It was the first "gacha" game I got hooked on, but eventually dropped it as it got more and more grindy. Funnily enough, I never even knew of Bakery Girl, so this is news to me.
Now to see if MD Hard gives Less Boxes too.
I hate all the Gacha Aspects of it.
I only care about the Cantos, Character Development and Possibly Interesting Events with more City Lore.
Players want content, Kim needs more employees to speed up the process of creating said content. Kim is not ready for an Anime, he needs to make more content for the game instead of trying to milk us of our money by enforcing headaches.
Arknights didn't actively push out high budget animations or advertisements during their early years. Their advertisements started out as low quality waifu bait or sometimes hilarious creations from outsourcing.

No, I don't want Kim to butcher his franchise with poor advertising. But he doesn't have to invest too much in an Anime to advertise a game that is still struggling to have content pushed at a regular basis while stuck in constant renovations of already existing content. Do CG like this, I barely see any advertisements for Limbus Company as I did for Arknights back then. How are people going to know about it except for the obnoxious fans that are mostly posers from Roblox.

I actually would like to see Ads for Limbus Company in the same vein as those hilarious outsourced ones. They were my favorite and were the ones that originally hooked me to Arknights during the pandemic.
That will all come with time, I wasn't saying that they shouldn't do it at all.
The main premise of what I said was that they aren't ready for that yet.
They are pushing furniture into a room room that still doesn't even have a floor-board and it's making their job harder in the process.
Frankly their monetization has been too f2p friendly for too long. I was wondering if they were even sufficiently making money. They can afford to have more paywalled content.
I'd be happy if they took a page from long running popular free-to-play games such as DOTA 2. Which has generous monetization, but not excessively so.
Yes.
It's a generalization, not a statistical fact that not a single soul wants those things.
Lot's of people want PM to succeed and branch out. But it's not what they should be currently focusing on.
What the general audience is asking for currently, is improvements to the game. They should iron out what they already have before taking on more projects to keep them from going back and fourth so much.
With the exception of weekly bonuses, the hard dungeon has the same payout as normal.
