What's your team look like? Are you using Blunt weak ID's? Are you using ID's with plenty of Blunt attacks?

Bring The One Who Shall Grip Sinclair and focus on trying to stagger him by having everyone attack the same attack slot instead of trying to win a clash against every attack. Ignore the other two enemies during the last wave.

At least that's what I did when I beat him yesterday.

The main difficulty is that The Middle likes to spam paralysis attacks, which lock your coin strength to zero, so you'll struggle unless you have negative coin skills that actually get better if their coin strength is locked to zero.

Note that Ishmael can't be downed unless she's the last one standing, so she can safely tank.

Go back to the main menu and click on "clear all cache".
This will erase your account user code from his Book of Vengeance and will make him spawn considerable weaker next time you enter the fight.

I beat it with LCB Ishmael, Regret Faust and LCB Heathcliff, shockingly enough. Ishmael's fast enough to just eat the counter, both Ishmael and Heathcliff can offset the evade if they're cycling skill 1s, Bodysack's Passive is actually relevant and Regret Faust just does stupid physical and stagger damage, especially if I built up enough tremor and have 2 Skill 3s lined up. Them being tanky enough to build up the skillslots also helps.

Edit: Trying again with higher levels. Turns out, I still need to actually be lucky, what with 2 tails on Regret Faust losing me the fight.

Ishmael has a passive that prevents her from dying. If possible, use an ID that ensures aggro like LCCB Ishmael and get her into the state where everyone is attacking her instead of your other sinners. Once she reaches 1 health, she is an invincible punching bag for your enemies, take advantage of it.

First two stages, pick off goons one by one as Ishmael maintains her aggro.
Ricardo teaches you how to take advantage of speed. During his hair coupons phase, do not clash everything. Every skill will have the speed of one, target his counter skills and let Ishmael be the first one to clash it and trigger his counter, after that Meursault will deal damage without the threat of being damaged.
If Meursault is being targeted use guard. Once or twice, Do not let the numbers or the clash favorability fool you, his guard is great and will ensure in his survival. Especially when paired with the 3 protection he gets from his S3, try to save it as much as possible.

Uptie Meursault to 4 if possible. The extra coin power and tremor proc may help. Level him up at max.
For Ish, a simple uptie 3 is enough. Level doesn't matter much since she doesn't need to win clashes, instead redirect the clash to her instead of your Meursault.

The Support feature doesn't use shards. You just need someone on your friendslist that has Zwei Ishmael available for Support.

Also yeah, Charge teams tends to be pretty susceptible to Blunt and don't really have much Blunt attacks. Would reconsider your team with that in mind.
