anyone feel like the limbus artstyle sucks

im sure its not just me but after vell got fired the new artstyle looks so.. bleak... its so bad... like.. every new canto ending just looks so boring.. why's hong lu mewing??? why is don staring... why is ishmael staring??? nobody has emotion its just so bleak...canto 1-4 had the best ending artstyles the amount of emotion put into gregor's canto 1 portrait at the end

I agree that C7 Credits CG is pretty bad, but I don't think it's worth having a meltdown over one bad CG art.

i agree with the ending CG but i also feel that the ID art of the newer ids are better than the old(mainly season 1 and 2) ids. some like G Greg is great(uptie 3 art) but most are mid/boring to unlike the newer ones.

so its a trade-off in terms of art i would say
but the Truth is likely that its just a personal preference

id is done by another person, vell only did the cutscenes/ending part (and yeah they improved a lot but thats.. id art thats something else)
i know its just personal thanks for understanding that but at the same time i cant help feeling a little sad knowing limbus couldve been so much better

You are talking as if Limbus Company has reached a point of no return or is lost forever. Throughout the entire Canto has been going super hard, one bland art piece is not worth mourning over something that is not gone.

Its a matter of preference.

I don't know much about art, but from digging up old reddit posts and stuff, people seem to think Vellmori was better at drawing characters & expressions and Naiga was better at drawing backgrounds & monsters.

That said, I'm really like some of the recent ID/EGO art, notably P(riest) Gregor and the Solemn Lament Yi+Greg duo.

Hong Lu is Showing Dante how to smile man come on. I think it's fine to not like the new art style but I don't think it's garbage. Plus it's LOR's artist it's pretty good in cutscenes
