Vergilius - His E.G.O. is a potential counter for Bloodfiends
Yes, I know that the only thing preventing Vergilius from directly intervening in combat is his contract preventing him from doing so, except under very specific circumstances (e.g. if Dante is in danger and the others can't have their time inverted safely) and possibly to discipline them, within reason (He could certainly do that to Don Quixote) that and he did violate that once, the higher-ups might not be as forgiving next time...what if Vergilius was up against a group of Bloodfiends with his E.G.O?

An E.G.O. that controls blood and can turn it into spears that can pierce through flesh, along with other things, with that, he could slow them down by targeting the blood within them, if the spears don't kill them...this isn't considering his base power. In short, it's possible that he's has an E.G.O. that's a potent Anti-Bloodfiend E.G.O.

Most likely depends on the kindred level of the bloodfiend

Perhaps to counter a 2nd Kindred, otherwise he'd not stand a chance against Sancho.

I do say he's on par or even above don Quixote when It comes to sheer Power over blood. Maybe he isn't as skilled since we never Saw him make weapons out of the stuff.

This is Just a guess tho.

To my knowledge he doesn't use blood in the same way they do. He needs the blood to remain a liquid and kind of treats as a means of movement more than a weapon. Bloodfiends by contrast might literally counter him by draining all blood from the battlefield and turning it into weapons. I still think he'd ultimately win the fight against most, but I'd side more with bloodfiends countering him than him countering bloodfiends.

6.

His full limits haven't been fully explored, as while he's fought a HE Level abnormality and a load of undead variants of those encountered in Chapter 6, but I don't think that's been tested on Bloodfiends.

To be fair, didn't he pop someone like a balloon in the book? If you have blood he can blow you up type of deal?
