How Sapling of Life works?
If I understood correctly, it's a thing you can use once per day to affect one turn, right? If so, that sounds kinda weird.

Ngl the only real practical usage of it I can think of is triggering speed related effects like CinqClair S3, but even that is kinda meh, because RR4 features sections with waves instead of separate battles, so yeah.

Its okay if you're fighting a boss who manages to outspeed your team, but it is one round per day, and thats really not much

Hm, perhaps it was bugged when it was new, I recall it working once per "instance" (per dungeon or per story fight, stuff like that). Kind of like a "in-game day" of sorts.
And not because forfeiting/losing refunds the usage, could've sworn it was reusable in a pinch even if you won.

Well, atleast now it's accurate to it's description, and also kind of useless unless it's a particularly dire moment in a long-ass fight.

Now watch PM add pay-to-win microtransactions to it by being able to reset the cooldown with Paid Lunacy to the point it can be used per turn if you keep paying, alongside different debuffs (perhaps paid only) that'll severely debuff the enemy (like Enemy Offence/Defence Level down -25, Sinner Damage Up +50%, and other insane stuff).

Any facts leading to that assumption, or you're just doomposting again?

I haven't used it since it was introduced because of a silly reason of me not knowing whether it last for a turn or the entire battle.

Now that I know that it only last for a turn? Wow! Useless!

Reminds me alot of people disliked getting screwed over by "Bad speed rng"

Nothing changed. lol, its a decent clutch ability tho argue the futher we go the more charges per day(and abilities) we can use

I used it for the first time yesterday fighting the new event boss, he had 7s on all slots and my team was all 3-5 and I couldn't clash most of his stuff because it was all going on one sinner, so it was nice to be able to kneecap him and properly clash.
CarThief Jul 7, 2024 @ 11:57am
Eh, probably just "Doomposting". Still... If you think about it, why would they implement it like that?

---

-PM is known for their "PM Difficulty". Why would they kneecap their own challanges with insane (de)buffs like these for aparrantly no reason? It makes no sense giving the player a easy way out.

-The duration is a day. Why? Why not "per fight/dungeon"? Why specifically a day? Why a real-time 24h timer? Perhaps because they later intend to allow the player to pay for a early refresh, mayhaps? It makes no sense if it's meant to be a free-to-use 24h timer.

-That said, the above doesn't necessarily require the payment is Paid Lunacy. But still, they could, and why would they not? Why else break their own game design by doing something like letting players break it by spending Normal Lunacy or Fuel/Modules?

Seems fishy to me. Or incompetent. Hard to say with PM. Only time will tell for sure.

Yup, you can use it for a turn, only once per day in a successful fight. If the battle doesn't end in victory whether through giving up or a loss, the seed of light ability doesn't go on the daily cooldown and you can reuse it in any fight until you win with it activated.

I use Pigritia whenever I want to make moves that will only work if my sinners are faster than the enemy, like rushing down a stagger or applying extra bleed count before clashing/defending. It doesn't happen often, but it's lifesaving when used right.

Calling it an insane debuff is being generous considering it's a 1 time use daily for a single turn use ability that gets refunded if used in a failed or forfeited instance. It's great though for players who get screwed over by 'Bad Speed RNG' a bit too often, although I often forget it exists after the new Mirror Dungeon implementation.

Odds are, if you actually look at the window where you go to use this ability, especially for those familiar with prior titles, they're likely going to add more of these in the future, possibly all having this single daily use limit.

Suddenly adding a refresh service to the feature would make no sense. Honestly both in regards to a product use or game design, I'm a bit baffled as to why you would expect a sudden change in behavior from the company unless there's people strongly demanding for such a change somewhere to push towards more Pay-to-Win applications?
If they do though, I hope uses Thread. That stuff still kind of needs some kind of consistent resource sink to be thrown at for players not looking to upgrade more stuff.

I think threads are fine because of possible T5 jumpscare. It didn't happened yet, but no reason to lower your guard.

To help a bit.

Because it's 1 a day.

So none uses it too much.
