No way to buy LP?

In previous seasons, we were able to buy the Limbus Pass on its own. Why has this option been removed?

The reasoning given by them is streamline how you purchase things in the game. If it costs real money, you use paid lunacy.

The fan theory and not directly confirmed by them is that people were refunding the limbus pass and keeping the benefits because they had no system in place to stop people from doing it on steam somehow. So switching it lunacy makes refunding it more difficult and easier to punish. You literally just get a negative paid lunacy balance you have to pay back later, forcing you to buy twice as much.

They did however add an option to get the exact amount of paid lunacy you need to by the battle pass, for the same price as the battle pass was. So it's not a raise in price like some people feared. Just a slightly more complicated process.

just buy the 11$ 1300 lunacy package, or spend an extra buck for the 2k lunacy first time deal

Why has this option been removed?

To unite currency needed to buy stuff in-game. You must buy 1300 Paid LUNACY. There's a choice for that. Same cost.
