Clearly her "friends" treated her like crap for "acting up", with punching her in the face til she stops stressing out over issues. So most likely they are the cause of her issues in her chapter.

Don Quixote is simply a justice/fixer fangirl cranked up to eleven. This is a weird/quirky but not insane behavior. Plus she tries to keep herself in check after being tightly gripped by Vergilius.
Take note, Donny man fans, despite being a tomboy, she likes being touched tenderly and softly.
She might be "outside reality" as far as her perception is concerned and sees things in black and white (metaphorically speaking) but there's one message that she received loud and clear: DON'T provoke Vergilius.
