i had this thought randomly after seeing Dead Rabbits Mersault (if he's related to rcorp in the canto 6 story dont spoil too much, im waiting to binge it next week)
In library of ruin we saw the process for cloning for the 4 members, as well as their "deaths" in the library, but the scientists in the cloning bit mentioned not allowing clones of each other to exist at the same time past a certain amount of time. So after they were expelled by the library, there should be multiple of them in the city, so what happens to them, and why exactly was there a rule about not allowing multiple to exist for too long.
i am also slightly curious whether theyre still alive after their failures in the library but we'll see that in the story at some point probably.

It would be logical to assume that they're either dead, cause they were under pressure of being disposed of by R corp unless they retrieve books from library, and R-corp would get rid of them for their blunder, or they've gone rouge and now run their own show. Maybe a new office like Molars did. I'd assume the latter, since Myo is too cute to die.

They're not dead, until we find them dead. If they're being hunted, they'll likely be hunted by the Ravens, R Corp's internal affairs division.

I haven't said that they're dead, but it's valid to assume that they might be. Anyway, they will probably be more relatable towards Outis chapter.

If I recall, basically all of them besides that group of distortions got expunged back randomly into the City (they simply died).

As for them, hard to say wether they where immediately cloned after they where presumed dead, or they waited around a bit to confirm before cloning them. Guess their fate depends on all that.

Though all in all unlikely to be a pleasant fate (gone rogue/hunted down or killed and replaced by their clone). Kinda doubt we'll be seeing them again (unless they fled into the Outskirts) if they were cloned, The Head would likely pull out all the tricks to enforce that particular rule (they don't do much unless it involves illegal guns, cloning, non-humans, or other taboo's).

We don't know either way, although they're likely being hunted by the Ravens, if they're alive, that's their role or at least it's hinted at being their role, as there shouldn't be more than one of anyone in the City for more than a week and R Corp is unlikely to want to get in trouble with the Head, due to some clones being unaccounted for.

They kill each other or else the Head will kill them. That rule prevents clone army.

theres the slight problem of they could appear in completely different parts of the city when expelled from the library, making it impossible for them to do so, so potentially they could be running from the Ravens and the Head at the same time

or the Head could temporarily turn a blind eye for various reasons
