I wouldn't go that far, this is the 4th week in a row where I couldn't get the tier 3 gift to fuse for my weekly MDH run.
Granted the newest update only went live last night, but my luck has been total dog**** when it comes to fusion gifts. Tried the new keyword refresh, selecing bleed (even made sure the booster pack had Smokes and Wires in the floor beforehand), and the refresh ended up giving me non-bleed gifts 5 out of the 7 refreshes (the 2 times it didn't I got Grimy Iron Stake).
Same deal with the new fusion system, selected bleed, picked out non-bleed tier 2 gifts for the chance of getting S&W, and got a T3 Rupture, tremor and poise gift instead. Thank God the F4 Boss had Red-Stained Gossypium as the reward, otherwise I would have bowed at at the start of F5.
Yeah, i was more talking about the fusion update that just dropped,
2 gifts for fusion only gives you a 60% chance if i remember correctly, but if you fuse 3, it's 90%. you can fuse 3 tier 2 gifts for 90% chance at a tier 3 bleed ego gift. And because you can't recieve duplicates, you can keep doing this to garuntee S&W every run (except if you are super unlucky with the 10% chance of failure, but that should rarely be the case).
Using ego fodder to get higher tier ego gifts is also a thing. Then i can use those new useless tier 3 ego gifts i don't need So i can fuse it for a tier 4 ego gift, such as red-stained gossypium. You will have less ego gifts doing this, but it's worth it depending on the team builds. I sometimes buy low cost ego gifts at the store so i have more fodder for fusing at a 90% chance has helped me be more consistent. It gets even better when i fight abnormalities in the event nodes to for more ego fodder.
Tier 1 ego gifts are hard tho, i'm pretty sure 3 tier 1 gifts give a tier 2. So the only way to get a tier 1 bleed ego gift is by fusing 2 gifts at most, which is a 60% chance to get the focused fusion gift, making it a lot harder then trying to get red-stained gossypium through fusions lol.
but i might be wrong, there probably is a way to get a 90% chance at tier 1 gifts. either that, or reseting at the start until you see the tier 1 ego gift you are looking for. However, in the end, if you use fusions properly and the more consistent method of fusing 3 and not 2 at a time, getting what you want is pretty easy with the new fusion update this week.
also, i think the refresh for specific ego gifts isn't worth it, maybe once, but i'd still rather do regular refreshes at that point. And then i'd rather buy cheap ego gifts that i can use for fusion instead. Unless of course a really good ego gifts that i can't pass up comes up.
Is there any source from PM stating those odds, because I can only find them on the EGO fusion cheatsheet guide by Borderlined.
My first 2 fusions in the MDH clear were done using 3 tier 2 non-bleed gifts, resulting in the 1 rupture and 1 tremor T3 gift, and the third fusion was done only with 2 gifts (same result).
Even though the graphic showed a T3 symbol with a bleed icon, I guess RNG decided to crap on my head and declare no soup for you!
When yo go to fuse ego gifts, at the top there is there is a box that reads "fusion Guide", clicking it will give you all the details.

As you can see, it's 60% for 2 gifts, 90% for 3.
You just happened to get very unlucky, thinking about it in a positive way tho, it's like winning at a 10% chance to get a random ego gift twice in a row.
Hahahaha, that's a good twist, cheers mate.
Boatworks is a self-tremor(like spicebush) id thats more for Sinking teams(again like spicebush) than for tremor teams
(Also yes, Nebulizer will give way more raw poise and poise count if you do pride resonance at all. I really wish fusions had the 2 previous item effects as the same or better with new stuff added on, similar to how they reworked the crummy old tremor fusion and charge fusion)
Boatworks Ishmael sinking passive is also much better in a tremor team.
At least this is my opinion, whenever i play with tremor it performs much better with boat works instead of LCCB Ishmael.
(But sorry, it was my mistake saying that boatworks inflicts a lot of tremor)
I think that fusion gift is meant for when you're already getting more than enough poise from other EGO gifts...
...and, of course, Pequod teams.
