Maid Ishmael or Molar Ishmael
I currently have 400 Ishmael shards and I want to optimizing my Sinking team (I barely have sinking Ids). Should I Max Maid Ishmael to U4 for my team or should I get the Molar Ishmael from disepnse?

Uuh, you should get R-Ish instead, if you don't have one. People say Molar is useful in sinking teams, but for MD I kinda stick to R-Ish, better clashes.

Ye, fetch that one. Very powerful, specially with a lot of gloom in the team.

For a Sinking Team specifically, Molar is a no-brainer. It's the second most important part of the team aside from Rodion with Rime Shank IV. Assuming the goal is to scale up your Sinking stack to then deal 4-digit numbers of damage with Sinking Deluge, the most important stat you care about is Sinking Count. Let's compare Reindeer and Molar. And the way you do it is by seeing how much Count your skill adds and deduct the number of coins a move has (as you spend Count on hit).

Reindeer contribution to the Sinking stack is therefore -2/+2/-4 on s1/s2/s3 respectively.

By comparison, Molar is a 0/-2/+2, but the story doesn't end there, if you activate her passive, each hit adds +1 count, turning her into the undisputed best inflictor in the game at +2/0/+5. The activation does require a smidge of Tremor to work, but fortunately, she inflicts that too.

So for a Deluge combo team, she's not just the best Ishmael, she's the slot 1 of the team to get the extra turn, ASAP.

Bonus feature, her Evade is a 10+4 (where normally you would expect 4+10), so she's a lot more consistent at 0 sanity evasion.

Yeah, Molar Boatworks is already great at T3. R Ishmael is high maintenance at T3, needing both to juggle her Charge for her S3 and her terrible -15SP passive at 3 Gloom Res (On a sinking team? hah).

At T4, she generates more Charge, needs less for her S3 and her terrible passive switches from 'Always -15SP' to just '-15SP if you don't deal damage this turn'.

Personally, I've always stuck Molar on my sinking team with great results, R Ish feels like a unit with another purpose, but with sinking tacked on.

R Corp Ishmael is NOT a sinking ID. She's an ID with sinking as a throwaway trait.
Molar Ishmael is superior in almost every way, except for the skill 3. But Mind Whip needs to be overpowered to make up for how much effort it takes to get it.
If I had to pick between recommending R Corp or Molar Ishmael for a newcomer, I'd recommend Molar, only because her 10-14 evade is superior to every other defensive skill in the game.
R Corp is worth it for Ishmael's canto, though, since there's that one skill check.

Molar Ishmael is very good in sinking team and she is very good even without sinking team.

10 base evade is one of cheesest thing to start a fight with 0 sanity. She can trivialize multiple attacks with very low risk.

R-corp Ish works as filler in a Sinking team and can do decent amounts in MD 'cause Gifts destroy any semblance of balance, but she's a DPS ID though and through. Also she needs UT4 to be good, her passive is detrimental otherwise.

If you're choosing between using Molar and using Maid it's really simple; pick Molar. Maid has really good Clashing on a really easy condition, but pays for it in Sinking infliction, so she's the worse pick for Sinking teams compared to Molar who is one of the best Sinking inflictors if you're just looking at IDs.

Okay, so after upgrades my R Ishmael to U4(I already have this id, i just forgot it exist) and testing in MD Normal, I think she's great dmg dealer, but not good at sinking, but still inflict a little sinking with every skills. Fortunately, I can craft Black sheet music and get my self some decent sinking ego gift so I can keep sinking count up in every turn.

Imo she's more suitable in charge team, bcs i forgot her third skill can attack teammate if her charges is below 8

Sadly if I want to get Molar Ishmael I have to grind Md again because I run out of Egoshards crates (Its all Maid Ryoshu's fault!).

R Ish is meh as a sinking unit outside of MDs if you're using sinking for dps/sinking deluge, within it tho, go ahead if you really want her clashing power or sin resources/affinites. Though you'll definitely atleast one of the Wuthering Heights butlers for Echoes of the Manor (50% chance you get 1 sinking count whenever a coin that inflicts sink potency/count lands, thus negates *some* of R-Ish sink count loss)

Molar Ishmael is pretty stiff competition and a 000 vs Maid Ishmael 00. The former is probably better overall, but depending on your other IDs and team comps, I can see some arguments for the latter.

First of all, Molar Ishmael is pure piercing, so she's going to suffer a lot against resistant enemies. Maid Ishmael has a blunt skill 1 while 2 and 3 are slashing. Speaking of which, she can also impose slashing fragility, which can allow some very heavy hitters (W and Maid Ryoshu, Heir Gregor, etc.) to burst something down that much harder.

There's also sin affinities to consider, depending on your EGOs. Gluttony is in short supply in sinking teams. Sloth less so but it can be an issue without Dieci Rodion or Spicebush.

If you almost have a full Sinking team then go for Boatworks Ishmael. Boatworks inflicts way more Sinking Count, which you're going to need.

Well, maid Ishmael looks cute, so, understandable. Good luck in mines.

For sinking specifically, Molar is best and she doesn't really need uptie 4 (Also 10 base power evade is so good).
Maid Ish does several things, but doesn't excel at any of them specifically. She can integrate into other teams (haste, poise) easier though.
