Yeah it's pretty dumb, since we used to have dates attached to previous seasons, but now we don't because 'they keep delaying every season'.

...Even though an innacurate date is a lot more helpful to everyone than having no date at all.

But yeah, roughly 4 months from the start of the season (March 28), and a month has already passed.

The only people that complain about the season not ending are impatient people who obviously have nothing better to do, even though PM still delivers updates on a weekly basis with new IDs and EGOs, and even then the amount of people that do that is tiny compared to the amount of people who are constantly asking about the darn date, on top of giving people better planning if they have enough time to grind for crates to buy IDs/EGOs or simply spend them. Having no date does more harm than having a date towards the people who like to plan things out and the new people who have no experience with how long BP lasts.

while the date isnt set in stone it lasts till the end of the season (when they add a new story main ch) which is a few months away since we just got one not too long ago

Unfortunately, every season's exact end date has been postponed for one issue or another, so they're withholding that information until a few weeks before the season is set to end in case it changes again.
Either way there is plenty of time to get all the rewards and a bunch of boxes beyond.
