Stuck on Ahab

I got my team to level 40, they’re all uptie 3, but for whatever freaking reason the fight immediately hits the gutter the second starbuck easily goes down.
I thought It would be a good idea to combine Wmersault’s guard with Sinclair’s wailing ego to counter the BS gimmick of attack redirecting, but nope that doesn’t work because the guard, even when unopposed, doesn’t even work. Then after slowly chipping down Q’s hp, there’s a ~400 hp heal?! What the hell PM…
I don’t know what to do at this point. Do I cave in and grind (I have like 9 nominable boxes) to get Kcorp Lu to tank the hell out of Ahab?
My team consists of Ring Sang, Nfaust, Nclair, Hook lu, Wmersault, and basemael.
As for egos they vary in UT (most are at least ut2), but half I can’t even use much because how much envy and Pride had to be used on siltcurrent. Ig most notable egos include: Ish Blind obsession, Sinclair wailing, Faust Fluid Sac, Yi Sang Sunshower, and Hook lu wailing.
Any help would be appreciated!

You can borrow a support id. I think its better to mostly ignore Quegqueg, just kill Starbuck then focus Ahab. Base Ishmael is kinda low dps for this fight, W Meursault ut3 is also not great unless you have resources to use Chain of Others every turn Ahab marks a target, in which case he's alright.

Ahab Trio force you play a tank and force you to

here it's " READ Her Skill Descriptions ".

the key is " marking " when she mark your ID, you cannot clash it. un clash able.

so to avoid ahab deadly attack you must clash Tank ID to Ahab

bring K corp Hong lu. guard 2x to ahab marking then let hong lu clash every marking attack from ahab.

just reminder " if you really that lazy to read K corp hong lu skill " he genenate K Corp ampule for self heal + revive, generate ampule from guard, don't generate 4 ampule or K corp hong lu will die instantly if you first time using him.

why bring K corp hong lu ? he cannot Die the best tank in game because " Unlimited Revive " specially vs ahab.

guard 2x agains ahab marking attack then make hong lu clash every ahab Attack that Said "marking".

again " Read Ahab skill " you see Marking, K Corp Hong lu Clash it, yes bring Tank, Easy mode bring K corp Hong lu support. Stick the Marking To "Any Tank ID that Immune Piercing ".

i Repeat, You see Marking, Clash Tank Id. Do Not Mark Other ID that not Tank, anything clash to her during Marking Phase, Get Marked for Un Clash Able Attack.

you can get mersault to use his base ego and clash with ahab to get prey's mark, his ego will reduce ger offense level which means less damage from her skills, and if you hit heads he'll get protection. This is one way to tank her unclashable stuff while you stagger quequeg and nuke ahab on the next turn.

I actually unga-Bungad her and got by reading just Queequeg, since Starbuck is their glass cannon but Queequeg constantly demands damage and multiple hits/coins when she tries to guard and build up poise.

So kill Starbuck for slot advantage, make sure Queequeg never has poise via hitting her BEFORE CLASHING WHEN SHE BLOCKS and out of poise before she uses the big Wrath Skill next turn. Keep those in mind and things should probably go better.

One more thing, Defense Power Down is actually VERY useful in this canto mainly because of how many evades and counters you'l have to deal with at the end.

TLDR: Hit Queequeg lots when she blocks and instakill Starbuck, rest goes easier.

UPDATE: I managed to beat Ahab using my same team but swapping hook lu with Support Pequod heathcliff

Maybe by then I'll get my poise team (Would need BL Mersault and maybe cinq sinclair for it to work) or tremor team (I have some decent tremor but I need more which the next event brings) together.

With a harpooner Heathcliff friend, I got through the Ahab fight with a lvl 30 team!

My team was
lvl 45 Harpooner Heathcliff (Friend)
lvl 40 Captain ishmael (lvl 40 because of dungeon)
lvl 30 First mate Yi Sang
lvl 30 Cinq Outis
lvl 30 LCB Don
lvl 28 LCB Faust

The key was Faust with Fluid Sack and getting the prey mark on Heathcliff

Always counter Starbuck 2nd skill (the skill to the right)
It can take down one of your dude if it goes through.

On the 2nd round, stagger Ahab but don't let her fall below 1/2 health. So you need to throw some damage at her on the first round.

On the 3rd/4th round, kill Starbuck. Spam Fluid sack to keep Heathcliff HP above stagger line.

After that, hit Ahab when you have a chance. Just be careful not to change prey mark's target. When Ahab is behind Q, just hit Q.

Headthcliff, Ishmael, and Don's electric screaming are the reliable skills that you can use to counter.

I sometimes had to use Outis' base EGO to counter as well.
