It's too bad they did her kit so wrong :/ Its funny that because of how Kim's buffs work BL Outis skill 1 and 2 can hit way higher numbers than s3. Still, she's a necessary evil if you wanna do funny stuff

Nearly all the first 00 ID got done quite dirty by uptie 4. BL Outis was already a rough ID, but her Upgrades did little for her kit, outside of decent evade, at Poise she couldn't make.
Now with the BL Crew she does quite well at being a boss Evade blocker with a 3-16 evade. But she still does little. +1 coin power on her S1 and possible Slash DMG Up on herself on S2. Then a S3 that lowers stagger on crit is rather bad payoff.

Funny thing is that UT4 made her G corp outis apply a silly amount of sinking and gained some pretty neat sink synergy. Even if its not great it can at least function unlike her kit (with no heavy support)
Like on release at uptie 3 she literally gained so little poise it would go away the turn after, even with 2 coin slots. Now her s2 gives a laughable 2 poise coint instead of 1, so she's allowed to crit once at 5% chance before losing all poise stacks. And yeah she has the worst crit payoff in the whole game, 20% stagger dmg. Some of the BL skill 2's have a 60% damage up on crit lmao. Clash values of 10/13/14 is just too pitiful and because her poise gain is horrible all the excess poise is funneled to her from Meursault and Don, instead of going to someone useful like Faust and Yisang.

she's not the strongest bl but she is necessary, and helps generate lust, which is one of the things bl lacks
her sunshower really helps her out with poise gen too

Imo I really dislike the direction they went with for G Outis ut4 (7 Outis too).

Her ut4 increased her s3 sinking potency from 5 -> 9 but that's not enough to merit running her in a sinking team, when she has no sinking anywhere else in her kit besides her s3 (and crucially no sinking count).

If her ut4 was an upgrade to her buffing/debuffing utility, then she would have a decent niche, but instead they tried to pidgeonhole her into being a sinking id and now she's just underwhelming even for a 00 id.

The main issue is the design philosophy seems highly in favor of shifting most if not all units into the 7 main debuff/buff categories, sinking happens to be G-Outis's category. Her sub category is team buffs and yeah I agree she should have gotten either more/better buffs or actual sinking put into her kit aside from 4 potency being shoved into her skill 3. That 4 potency is sadly more than the entirety of what BL Outis got.
From recent memory I'm pretty sure only the Zwei ID's manage to escape the 7 categories, though if I'm forgetting an ID let me know. Goutis damage is quite bad but compared to other 00 ID's her clashing is very good.

Yeah the design change really didn't help certain IDs. G Outis and G Gregor have even less group work. Seven ID suffered the uptie 4 "effect matter", going from the fragile makers into the rupture group, hell Seven Yi Sang got given rupture on some of his skills. Meanwhile Seven Ryōshū has zero interest in Rupture out her S1.
I will say though, certain newer ID don't have the focus being on the "effect" but have them in the kit, has been nice. Things like the Middle and to a sense the Deci team have been a nice slow break away from everything being about effects.
I do wish we get more though we get more IDs that lack the effects. The only ones other non effect units outside of New Zwei is LCCB Rodian, Base Faust and Cinq Don.

I was about to look like a dunce pointing out that ends up being like a +4 with Kimsault, but then I realized you were just talking base numbers. Honestly BL Oust made me realize they were probably planning Kimsault from beginning of season 2, at least a version of him. Which makes me honestly wonder what their plans are for some of the other worse IDs like Leu.

gonna be honest, these bandaids for bad families have me worried about what pmoon is gonna do for future ids, are the blade lineage and burn teams going to be balanced around stuff like kimsault and der outis, or will they still make them more in line with other ids so that they are powerful individually and amazing together, or will there be more bl sinclairs and outis'

Dark flame isn't actually a bandaid for Leu, it's a bandaid for burn. A bandaid for Leu would be someone who specifically plays around increasing ally power off of burn rather than causing damage. I also wouldn't call Kimsault a bandaid so much as the completed piece of a team. He serves a similar role yes, but he also just completes their mechanics. Der Outis on the other hand doesn't actually help other Leu IDs at all. They're still a little underpowered. She just makes burn itself good to point you don't even need Leu IDs just ego gifts and a lust team.

If they make more IDs like kimsault and captain ishmael I welcome it. It's really fun to have leader units that decide a team's direction and strategies. N-faust too but she suffers from being a season 1 ID. I know if she was released this season she would 100% have 2 passives and one of them would just be giving all N-corp allies fanatic on clash win.

I think they've figured out what works and what doesn't. Those IDs were made at the start, and now they have bandages that aren't UT5.
Occasionally, we might get gimmicky, low power letdown IDs like Sunshower, but just because it's gimmicky doesn't mean it's useless: I have a lot of fun throwing him at Envy Luxcavation every week.
