There isn't --- in fact, XP luxcavations are the best (if not only) ways to level IDs in this game. The XP gain from regular stages is either non-existent or downright laughable.
They cost modules, not energy directly, and those can be accumulated waaayyy past the energy limit regardless of your account level.
You can make it effortless over the long term by logging a few times a day, at least doing the dailies --- but really making sure you're converting all your energy to modules. So long as you don't grind anything, you'll make a profit in modules over the long term.
When new story content rolls up, you'll be able to skip lux a bunch of times to level your chosen IDs to "the new lvl cap" effortlessly.
It's late for you now, but what I did when I played Canto 1-3 was always make sure to convert excess Enk so I'd always be charging when playing the story. Doing that meant I had enough modules stocked to level a team to around 28~30 to tackle the Canto 4 content (Which is geared towards 30~35).
If you're struggling with a lvl 30 team, it's probably more a team-composition issue than a level issue.
---------
However, the game does have some math balancing issues. Canto 1-3 were available on release and were very easy, with natural XP & uptie letting players only halted by enk usage (If you were skipping text and binging it). Levels 20+ take a lot more XP that natural gains no longer cut it.
So newer players that plow up to Canto 4 will normally be severely outmatched by Canto 4. It still doable, but the bull early on forced me to level up. If one wasn't converting to modules up to that time, then it's best to tackle it as a long term objective rather than wanting to level up a team now.
Unless/Until Project Moon changes elements of the game, it will be an issue every season that only long-term players will not see. Since we'll already have a team at the last level cap and only have X levels more to the new cap.
My suggestion is to build a single all-rounder team and just stick with it for a while, and make good use of borrowing friend support. As you clear the contents you should levels up rather quickly, but it's still not a one-sitting kind of deal. Gotta spread out your play time over a week or two, maybe use the lunacy refill once a day if you're so inclined.
