I sure hope so, since he was mentioned in butler Ryoshu id. Tho, they'd have to explain how he un-ceased to exist after the events of canto 6.

I get the feeling instead of being called erlking he'll be called wolf's night heathcliff or something along those lines. Same powers likely, but Erlking specificially can only exist in a world with _____ and faded with her. Likely meaning that heath started down a different path after the events we saw.

Think of it as time traveling. You erase or change one thing in the past then that will cause a different outcome. In case of Heathcliff, the obsession is basically gone from all Heathcliffs (Even though some IDs should have a completely different outcome or not exist at all, like Pequod Heathcliff) while Cathy, who got erased, wasn't there to make the machine to create Erlking Heathcliff.

So not only would Erlking not be able to stick around since there wouldn't be a machine to create him in the first place, but that version of Erlking has been downgraded from what was considered perfect to.. well, a regular ID. since there's no Catherine in his existence to nudge him down the 'perfect' path. He still exists in his own world.

Although now that I think about it, this whole thing could easily flop, since as mentioned, it says in the chapter that all the Heathcliffs didn't have to deal with Cathy so they bailed from the manor, but then you have the IDs where the only thing that's been removed is Cathy's name, and our Heathcliff's new goal is to bring Cathy back, which.. well, the outcome could end up with him getting his own Cathy back, or he ends up bringing all the Cathies to all Heathcliffs, which means we're in a position where we either get an Erlking ID that follows the Cathy obsession path since the Ids that shown the same sort of obsession didn't really show any change, or an Erlking ID that doesn't.

Hm... Short answer: no.

Long answer: It'd be kinda weird having Erlking vs Erlking. And while the well of IDs has infinite possibilities!(TM), I'd imagine he's still one-of-a-kind, and let's just say he [Erlking] would NOT cooperate with being an ID for Limbus. To say nothing of Heath's protests of having to carry that ID around, that essentially caused his beloved to disappear.

And I forgot if the ruckus he caused and his defeat essentially caused him to disappear, anyway, to say nothing of the timeline/universe tampering of her disappearance.
I wonder... Did Ishmael get any IDs before Pequod Captain previous season? If not, then that also makes me think we won't get a Heath ID because he already got a 000 Oufi ID.
(Edit: Kinda like Yi Sang and Farmwatch, we got his Spicebush early, then, nothing.)

Well, I could always be happily proven wrong. We've yet to get a Heath ID that outperforms his Rabbit ID or has better rolls (well, atleast his Bleed ID is alright for MDs).

Clear all Cathy is a paradox, because it was a artifical calamity, forced by Hermann team.
basically it is like ????? in lob, which was some Ayin erased stuff from smoke war( i forgot, so can be mistaken). It still exist. Basically you hide it from the people memories, not erased

Eh, maybe. Yeah. Though I really don't see a mirror match between the two Erlkings happening. If this were Ishmael or Faust facing their mirror counterparts, that's not 100% the same ID, just a variant that took on the same role (enough to elicit a surprised reaction from the enemy though, heh).

But this is the first time we're facing an ID as a enemy, making it very weird if we end up "recruiting" him to fight on our side, as you can't really have the same guy fight himself, there's no two of em - in theory. (And he's hostile - could he really be recruited?)

If we're getting anything, it won't be the Erlking, but probably something else for Heath.
Does feel like a Farmwatch situation, though. But hopefully it's not...
(Though I guess one couldn't rule out getting a "earlier" Erlking ID before he went too far. Him gone full Wolf is also a option, yeah. I guess that'd kinda refer to Ryoshu and Gregor's ID backstories.)
