Is Pequod Captain Ishmael op?

I just see the announcement about new identity for Ishmael and it has 2 / 3 / 4 coins with 4 / 4 /3 per each coin. 12 for first still, 16 for second and third wtf lol it looks so op becuz of coins.

Im using 'the one who shall grip sinc' and lobotomy ego otis with liu assoc. Ishmael for burn effect.
Do i have to get new Ishmael identity? or just keep with burn effects? thanks.

Captain is good yes but if youre using burn team she is not the best replacement for it

Liu Ishmael is still better for burn teams, Captain Ish is more for bleed/poise/pride teams. Still, if you can get her do it. (Not roll for her, shard)

She is a lot of fun in a bleed team. It is really fun to see your team bring out some free onesided damage.

That's why i haven't decided yet. If I use liu assoc i will have to change my team effect. But im not sure that new one worths it

what is pride team?

Captain Ishmael has condition on her S2 (which is pride) that benefits from resonance and on 5+ resonance has a 100% chance to trigger an unopposed attack by another unit with their S1 (Also she has pride fragility on her Waw Ego)

She actually wont work well with Sinclair. Besides her big hard harpoon, Ishmael's a sprinkler, providing lots of SP.

I put her along with N Faust in daily EXP stage, I also use her for bleed and poise MD runs. As for burn, it's just lack of identities hardly right now, plus Liu Ishmael is a much more all-round identity, and benefits much more from burn gifts, i'd say they're two pretty different Ishmaels, and it's weird to consider it like that.

SP gain = precious, not to mention her S2 that can provide one extra S1. Pretty strong, and provides multiple strategy potential. Plus she will shout at me and step over me and come into my cabin every night on the ship. I love her, my forever captain, Ishmael... you should pull her definitely, to let her dominate me, to gaslight me...

what is pride team?

Each skill is related to a type of sin, in this case Pride. Captain Ishmael's skill 2 is pride, and she applies extra buffs to units who are using pride skills, so you want all of your units in your team to have good pride skills.

Basically, just have a lot of units with dark blue skills.

I'd call her average at best so far, due to the severe drawbacks when your allies "kill steal" from her and cause her to lose a ton of SP, and in a lot of situations you're facing enemies whose level is higher then your max level cap.

Though she should be decent enough in situations where enemies don't exeed her level, or vs bosses (I mean, one kill steal won't hurt her much). She also isn't the worst for Bloody Mist runs in MD3 Normal/Hard.
