Question about Shock Centipede Turn 1 Pattern in MD3
When did they change up his turn 1 pattern? He normal starts with a coil, and a single unused skill slot. But the run I just did, he threw out his High-voltage Electric Discharge with two other skills and coiled just in case.
Don't get me wrong I welcome a change than turn 1. Sure if you have some broken damage you could break his shield and hes stunned for a turn, but in MD3 that rarely happens and just felt like a stacking effects turn. Now him being able to inflict AOE Paralysis out from the get go, is pretty cool and I welcome a slightly trickier Centipede.

Dam, no free setup on turn one, I guess. But I have a feeling it would somehow fix his charge economy so we would be actually able to kill him when his health drops to 0.

He almost Gibbed my Seven Heath, because my Sunshower flipped tails and that AOE meant bad clashing on him. It really Spices things up, dangerous attack to dice with turn 1.

It does pose a question if other Abnormalities in MD3 will also get a brush up, I have yet to check if any others have different patterns as I don't have time to tackle MDs until the weekend.
It makes it extremely difficult to break the shield, since you now have to focus on clashing alongside trying to pour a head's worth of damage on the head. And I feel like it's been subtly increasing the amount of charge it can bank up to force the player to burn the full 20 self-charge.

I could do without it, thanks. I ran two MD normal, both of them had shock centipede at the end.
I haven't found an official announcement that this was an intentional change.

It also seems to affect other bosses that have a setup turn. Thread luxcavation Drifting Fox just skipped the setup turn, using both defense and his AoE on turn 3.
It's probably bugged, along with Drifting Fox. Hopefully PM will try to fix it later this week.
I think what it's specifically doing, is removing any "Do Nothing" turns. Skills slots will now be used every single time.

I didn't see this on SNOWC, but I usually have his arm staggered by the time that turn comes around, anyway. This could get incredibly unfair in some fights.
PM is usually pretty transparent about mechanical changes, so it's probably unintended, so it's probably a safe bet that the patch notes for this week will include fixing it.
This is actual garbage. Having to deal with the standard fox attacks at the same time it uses the shield that depletes SP is making it a serious pain to win clashes. Oh, and the fact that it uses the AOE which can outroll Self-Destructive Purge if you're unlucky? Also pretty garbage.

Also, they've changed the UI. I can no longer see status effects on individual body parts, so good luck trying to keep track of whether it's the head or the body that has the burn/nails on it.
