He will be very handy for RR3
Also OP ignore how 5+5 = 10 higher vale than 3+2+2+2 = 9 when you have no insight. Not to mention HongLu base power is 42 while Rodya base power only 39 which add 1 extra clash power & damage for honglu's attack.
Here the case when lv40 honglu with insight 3 attack power
1st hit -> 42 + 5+5 = 52
2nd hit -> 42 + 5+10 = 57
3rd hit -> 42 + 5+15 = 62
While lv40 Rodya with insight 3 attack power are
1st hit -> 39 + 3 + 4 = 46
2nd hit -> 39 + 3 + 8 = 50
3rd hit -> 39 + 3 + 12 = 54
Is Rodya 1st skill still godlike than Honglu for you now?
I agree with his passive tho.
He has the same paradoc inherent to Dieci IDs; the desire to have high Insight directly clashes with the needing high power skills to take advantage of that Insight, but being able to copy Insight alleviates that to an extent.
Probably kinda annoying to micromanage, but has the power to justify the effort.
Where did base power of 42 and 39 came from? Do you mean Offense?
In the all heads scenario where everything is normal:
Hong Lu:
+ ~9% damage for Hong Lu because of the Offense level difference.
1 ins -> 5 + 5 = 10 points of damage = ~10-11.
2 ins -> 5 + 5 ->(reuse) 10 + 5 = 25 points = ~27-28.
3 ins -> 5 +5 ->(reuse) 10 + 5 ->(reuse) 15 + 5 = 45 points = ~49-50.
Rodions:
1 ins -> 3 + 2 -> 5 + 2 -> 7 + 2 = 21 points of damage.
2 ins -> 3 + 3 -> 6 + 3 -> 9 + 3 = 27 points of damage.
3 ins -> 3 + 4 -> 7 + 4 -> 11 + 4 = 33 points of damage.
In terms of damage, Hong Lu's Ins 2-3 is either equal or better, but on Ins 1 it's worth. Granted, his game plan is to upkeep the high Ins.
But in terms of clashing it only loses to S1 Ins 3 Rodion. 13(10 + 2 final power and +1 from offense) vs 15.
S1 of Rodya doesn't discard anything, so it can be argued that it's easier to upkeep the Ins 3 this way, but Hong's passive should help with it a little, if you get the res active.
I'd say that Hong Lu is just a sidegrade of Rodion and it's pretty alright.
You know the discard trick? you only need to discard 1 time and you good to go:
Oh, didn't know about that one, thanks.
Hong Lu is certainly a good ID, having good clash Rates thats easy to manage, though really wants his uptie 4 to get things going.
I think Yi Sang got the weird end of the stick, as I still struggle to find as to why they made his S3 care about 50% or less health, when his Tank Gimmick is Shield based.
