On Dieci Yi Sang and Hong Lu
Are they trying to lower the power level now?
I don't get Dieci Hong Lu at all. Compared to Rodya he trades off getting Shield on discard for nothing. The payoff for sacrificing a S3 for his skill 1 iiis... A badly clashing skill that is technically Sinking Neutral.
He also has a Resonance-based passive instead of Owned which means that for most turns, he has no passive.

So what's his deal?

Yi Sang is quite better in that he's just mini Rodya and brings some more unusual sin affinities to a Sinking team.

The thing is you discard s3 one time, and then always replace lower skill with defense, so you would forever stay at 3 insight. From now on you have unit that rolls 22/26 on s2 and s3 and 10-15-20 oneside s1, so his damage is good no matter the skill.
He will be very handy for RR3

The passive thing might be the same deal as BL Sinclair, also the 3 gloom is not that hard. But yeah, his discard game is lame compared to other discard ids.

I guess they split the coin power and shields thru discard this time.

Rare case of a gachagame where it doesnt feel good to roll for units. Not even worth my yellow boxes. Walpurgis limited der Outis was so bad, i dont even expect anything anymore. And they still disappointed me with this garbage Dieci one. The only thing i kind of looking forward to is Captain Ishmael. Except she will not be even as good as Bunnycliff.

Seriously whine because 1st skill which people don't bother use them unless they are unlucky with bad roll.

Also OP ignore how 5+5 = 10 higher vale than 3+2+2+2 = 9 when you have no insight. Not to mention HongLu base power is 42 while Rodya base power only 39 which add 1 extra clash power & damage for honglu's attack.

Here the case when lv40 honglu with insight 3 attack power
1st hit -> 42 + 5+5 = 52
2nd hit -> 42 + 5+10 = 57
3rd hit -> 42 + 5+15 = 62

While lv40 Rodya with insight 3 attack power are
1st hit -> 39 + 3 + 4 = 46
2nd hit -> 39 + 3 + 8 = 50
3rd hit -> 39 + 3 + 12 = 54

Is Rodya 1st skill still godlike than Honglu for you now?

His S1 ins't bad, its 12 clash power with 3 insight which is above average for S1 and will do more dmg than Dieci Rodion S2.

I agree with his passive tho.

Yi Sang is basically just a worse version of Rodya, Hong has some disgustingly chunky rolls if he has the Insight, which is easy enough to set up because three res is not a difficult bar to meet.
He has the same paradoc inherent to Dieci IDs; the desire to have high Insight directly clashes with the needing high power skills to take advantage of that Insight, but being able to copy Insight alleviates that to an extent.
Probably kinda annoying to micromanage, but has the power to justify the effort.

Here the case when honglu got insight 3 his real attack damage after all reuse coins is
1st hit -> 42 + 5+5 = 52
2nd hit -> 42 + 5+10 = 57
3rd hit -> 42 + 5+15 = 62

Where did base power of 42 and 39 came from? Do you mean Offense?

In the all heads scenario where everything is normal:
Hong Lu:
+ ~9% damage for Hong Lu because of the Offense level difference.
1 ins -> 5 + 5 = 10 points of damage = ~10-11.
2 ins -> 5 + 5 ->(reuse) 10 + 5 = 25 points = ~27-28.
3 ins -> 5 +5 ->(reuse) 10 + 5 ->(reuse) 15 + 5 = 45 points = ~49-50.

Rodions:
1 ins -> 3 + 2 -> 5 + 2 -> 7 + 2 = 21 points of damage.
2 ins -> 3 + 3 -> 6 + 3 -> 9 + 3 = 27 points of damage.
3 ins -> 3 + 4 -> 7 + 4 -> 11 + 4 = 33 points of damage.

In terms of damage, Hong Lu's Ins 2-3 is either equal or better, but on Ins 1 it's worth. Granted, his game plan is to upkeep the high Ins.

But in terms of clashing it only loses to S1 Ins 3 Rodion. 13(10 + 2 final power and +1 from offense) vs 15.

S1 of Rodya doesn't discard anything, so it can be argued that it's easier to upkeep the Ins 3 this way, but Hong's passive should help with it a little, if you get the res active.

I'd say that Hong Lu is just a sidegrade of Rodion and it's pretty alright.

You know the discard trick? you only need to discard 1 time and you good to go:

Oh, didn't know about that one, thanks.
Won't lie, kinda wished some of those sinking numbers were better. Though I guess Sinking is just "better rupture" so they want to be careful with the numbers.
Hong Lu is certainly a good ID, having good clash Rates thats easy to manage, though really wants his uptie 4 to get things going.
I think Yi Sang got the weird end of the stick, as I still struggle to find as to why they made his S3 care about 50% or less health, when his Tank Gimmick is Shield based.

Lol, Poise Sinclair has 26 roll on his s3, this mf can do 26 on s2, and ppl still complain.

nah, he's 12/22/23 for clash, although he does have the highest damage for S1 as far as I'm concerned.

You have to specify which Sinclair is poise one. We have two now.
