Like, the universe isn't 'less serious', our sinners are just silly people and the cast we're interacting with is more colorful. Need I remind the very first canto gets our hopes up for collecting a new member of cast before absolutely devastating us because yuri made the horrible mistake of suggesting she could join the sinners?

It would be fun if we had a Deici ID with a gigantic book and, idk, an S3 called "Knowledge is Power", where our sinner just relentlessly beats the crap out of enemy with a book. You know, the heavy and big one, like Oxford dictionary or smth. Definitely more fun than a key, but, eh, I'l take it.

Pretty sure whoever that NPC that's ready to beat Rodion's ass for eating in the library would might actually kill them if they tried to use a book that way. Personally i'd be more inclined to see a Dieci Ryoshu that reads them a book of torture Could be really funny if she had a synergy with hobocliff where she actually gave allies on on either side of her 2*2 sinking and 1 damage up because she's doing it.

This is a setting where clothes make better armour than armour (which makes the N-corp aesthetic pretty amusing) and Dieci association IDs are literally using the power of knowledge to beat people into the ground.
There was no point in the series where weapons were all practical and sensible, unless you want to explain how fighting a monstrous Clown-Scorpion with a clucking chicken head makes sense.

I didn't expected it to gone so far. Btw Bug Outis literally hits enemies with scream and telekenisis or some ♥♥♥♥ like that, it was weeb from the very start. And that's not including the whole idea of random people manifesting anime weaponry and armor into existence because they're so cool.
