Stuck at Canto V Dungeon 5-36.

I'm currently getting my arse kicked by this masked harpoon guy and their minions!

I tried searching everywhere for boss guides but to my surprised I found none! Which is odd because I remember seeing a LOT of guides for the Canto IV dungeon way back when it was released.

What now? I searched the wiki but all I got was are incomplete pages.

I tried Reddit but all I got are mostly posts asking how to defeat Big Brother Ricardo.

I tried searching for guides in here but no one seems to have written one yet...

Am I screwed? I just want to finish the chapter so I can join the new event on time...

edit: And why did Canto IV got so many guides and this one didn't? Wut.

It's kinda weird how Canto V dungeon is the first duneon that I'm having a LOT of problems with. I didn't have a complicated time with the last four!

You mean the two mob fights before the boss?

I tried to carefully plan out my clashes against those but for some reason, my team are getting hopeless and struggling! I tried to defnend and counter against those but by the end of every battle my team have barely any health and sanity for the next fights!

Do the Harpooners have a sort of debuff that eats SP!?

Why is the very FIRST boss is such a struggle!?

I can't be the only one having problems here. Why are there no guides for this thing!?

You know the joke that goes around in the PM community? That Pm fans can’t read. You know you can click on an enemy unit and read his passives, right? Also, how tf are you struggling with your uptie 3 and lvl 35-40 units? The only thing that is low in the QueeQueg fight is sanity due to the save point right before it.

It's too bad that many PM fans are prickly or gatekeeping even though some of these fights are genuinely tricky without dedicating time to learning the gimmicks and intricacies of the battle system.

The first QQ fight has no gimmicks or intricacies bar the group hug passives of townsfolk. The main problem of this fight I to outroll the coins of QQ, which is not a problem with units that he said he has access to. If it was a trio Ahab fight, I would agree with you, but it’s not.

Is there a way to prevent my guys from becoming corroded during the fight? And how do I deal with the Struggling and Hopeless clashes?

I know all about the getting the light thingies to 1 health and clashing Blind obsession with a powerful EGO and stuff. But after that, I don't know what to do! I just got lucky in my first try!

I can't afford for all of my guys to die bcuz I know the next boss fights are going to be a f*cking b*tch to do! So please!

I did it!

I managed to defeat the FISH without having all of my guys either dying or getting corroded throughout the fight! YIPPEE!!

Dunno what I did exactly. I passed the skill check, use defense and counter skills against struggling and hopeless clashes, and managed to use Outis EGO against Blind Obsession and spam Ador EGO throughout the fight!

I swear Ador is really useful against that fish!

But what now? I'm now going against the dread trio of Ahab, Starbuck, and Queequg!

What do I do!?

Kill Starbuck first, he deals a lot of damage (he is weak to pierce). Then your only real choice is QQ (weak to blunt), she revives first time you "kill" her with 50%(?) of her hp back and has a skill that has infinite weight (this means you won’t get any AoE at all) and will retarget everything that targets Ahab to her. Losing one or two sinners in this fight is ok.

No dice! I manage to kill Starbuck by turn 3 most of the time. Mostly.

By the time, it was only Ahab and Queequeg, I always get destroyed!

What am I doing wrong exactly? How do I exactly clash and which skill?

How do I "nuke" her exactly? Just target her normally? Use EGO on the skills? What?

Kill her. Ignore those DEFENSE Skills. Status Effects Sinking Deluge. Yes. Yes. Status Effects Sinking Deluge.

You can offset the defensive skill by clashing with defensive skill of your own, but you really need to kill the QQ first.
