"Download Update" issues.
Every time I open the game on PC it says I have an update. It will regularly try twice, and then fail to download. Then I check integrity on my game files, clear cache, download it again, and then rinse and repeat until the game inexplicably opens.

Once opened, the game has been freezing as soon as I go to enter the third preview on the current Salt extraction. When the game closes and reopens, I have to download the update again. The update is always 1 to 7 gigs, with or without cache clearing.

I have been completely unable to open the game without having an "update" to download for at least a month. My phone works perfectly and has zero issues. My PC application absolutely refuses to open without an update.

Does anyone know why it would be doing this? or how to fix it? There's no good reason I can figure out that it would be either wiping the update data every time it closes, or be picking up the same online update every single time it opens. It looks like this similar issues was reported in other discussions back in July, and I haven't found any permanent solutions on my end.

Um, well, I don't know much about this issue, but what little I do know is...
>Sadly, Cache Integrity checks via Steam might not work for this game.
>If you clear the in-game cache, it has to re-download everything, all updates.
>Connecting is impossible via public/non-password wifi, you need something private/secure.
>I think the game stores it's data in: "C:\Users\[Username]\AppData\LocalLow\ProjectMoon\LimbusCompany".
>The game is known to retain files (more then just save files) on the PC after uninstalling. Not sure if the above is the folder where it all goes. Fair chance, though.

Dunno if that helps. Maybe uninstall, manually delete everything in the mentioned area, and re-install and try again, if you're really desperate? (Though I'd consider that a last resort. Try other methods first.)

This'll probably help someone else out. I've done all of those except the full wiping of everything on my drives, which might have to be the case. Otherwise I'm sure someone else will benefit from the note about public networks. Not something that impacted me but it's not something I would've thought to check on.
