Status effect theory center
So, as usual I'm bored and feel like asking something. What sort of status effects would you guys love to see added to the game? What would their mechanical effects be, and would there be any link to others? Me personally I'd be interested in seeing how they'd do something akin an automatic evade type defensive status effect. I could certainly see IDs being put out that some status effect based around just simply being so quick and agile they always have a 10*count% chance to take attacks as if they're ineffective regardless of sin affinity or damage type.

I am aware of the fact smoke exists in Library of ruina, but we'll probably eventually see that in some form since we got the rest of the non-character specific ones.

Not realy. I mean, we don't even have a proper team centered on buffs, like some teams we had in Lor. There is also potential to make paralys great again if more id's using it. So I guess, you're bored cause the game is lacking content, in terms of id's and content to play.

Oh nothing like that, I meant I was bored at this moment not bored of the game. I wanted to hear what ideas people had for different buffs and status effects the game could have that seem interesting to center around a character/character type.

Bringing back smoke could interesting idea, as some kind of extension of poise possibly. Like how we have nails for bleed and talismans for rupture. Also smoke ID's which might get attack power up based on poise on enemy / self could be cool. Smoke could be like nails but for poise and possibly also a charge replacement with self inflict for id abilities. It would definitely be a bit wacky to see.

While i am a vivid smoke supporter, i kinda wish PM would balance and buff the statuses that we already have in the game (paralysis, burn),or hell even more broadly gust more ids that are broad buffer/debuffer. As for automatic defence type, well in LoR there was counter dice and that one passive from Yujin.
For status effects, i wouldn't mind seeing a buff that grants you more power the less coins you have. So when you lose a the first clash with a 3 coin skill, it gets better coin power on the roll with 2 coins. Anti paralysis would be cool to.

Oh that one would be interesting. I could see it being a buff that makes the last coin lands heads with 50% increase effect. So, single coins that like to work as +10 or so suddenly become +15. Where as a skill that's 3 coins of 4, the usual safe choice, would only become a 6 on the last coin.

No no, anti-paralysis would be more forced heads. So unlike paralysis which buffs negative coins this would buff positive coins.

I want more stuff to promote single coin skills over multi-coin. Right now only two status actualy promote single/less coin IDs: Rupture and poise. Rupture give extra value to each coin. You don't mind if you have less coin if each of them deal 99 damage. Poise ID have single coin skill that have bigger crit. Sadly that is not enough to compesate when their poise gain is ass.
Any I want something that double single coin skills probably or a status that make enemies take more damage from single coin but doesn't affect EGO.

We will not get a status like that, the very best we can expect is something akin to boundary of death (Shi Ryoshu when?). If you really want a status it might be a buff (i tried thinking up a debuff but ended up with rupture each time) that gives fixed extra damage for first coin, that still wont promote single coin skills tho.

Also I don't think it's impossible for them to add status that buff single coin. I don't see any reason for them to not go that except EGO but they can work around it.

I doubt that extra 2-3 or max 4 base power boost will break EGOs, and sin resource gen wont let you spam them non-stop.

Last coin works better to make it more for encouraging low coin count type stuff. Since it means if you're trying to hit an evade enemy you wouldn't get any sort of boost until the end. Alternatively, a fun option to achieve an effect like this might some sort of damage buff that drops every time a coin is flipped. So what happens is characters who get it want to flip as few coins as possible to keep their damage up, which ultimately the actual main reason multiple coins are better than single coins. Yes, many people have an issue with always having a 5% chance of losing, not that your chance of losing isn't higher with multi-coins in some cases, but ultimately the biggest reason its a problem is because multiple coins means multiple hits.

We really don't have a single single hit coin that can even attempt a 100 damage outside of some tier 4 poise based ones. MAYBE ting tang but that requires a lot of set up in situations that really don't not call for it.

Though, even as I'm typing an idea came to mind for a buff called blitz or something. Basically it's a buff that forces the clash to end after 1 engagement or something and could go great on some single hit characters. Since one of main reason multi-hit coins are so safe is because you're getting multiple chances to win against single coins by default. With blitz that's out the window, you need to win on first clash or suffer the consequences... Would be evil to see on enemies though, particularly considering if N-sinclair is at 25 sanity or more it'd be his kryptonite.
