tl;dr R-ish gets the biggest upgrade from uptie 4 while also being one of the strongest IDs in the game.. W meur and R-meur also get a ton of value, although they're both more niche IDs (unless you have the regret meursault ego, at which point all his ids become a pretty decent clashers/damage dealers)
If you want a pure unga bunga team, then you can't go wrong using your threads to upgrade R ish, w don, w ryoshu, along with telepole for don.
If you want a slightly more niche team that's also capable of big numbers, then grab spicebush yi sang (although he gets very little value from uptie 4, so he's fine at 3), daici rodion (she gets pretty decent value from uptie 4) and rimeshank. Uptie 4 rimeshank is a sinking nuke that pretty much always ensures that spicebush can get a big sinking deluge going.
That aside, it's mostly just a matter of seeing which units you like playing with and weighing the benefits. N corp sinclair for example, for as good as he is, gets so little value from uptie 4 that there's really no reason to bother spending the thread. You don't really need a video to tell you that.
Both Rain and Olga versions also seem ok, even if they are not very meta, I like how they play, along the sinking gang
