I mean its the type of boss that you either have correct setup to beat or just skip and get 5 less bp points (still counts as a win in my book). Personally I don't build my teams around it so whatever happens happens.
You can beat him in 3 or 4 turn without Sinking Deluge if you have a lots of Ego or Skill who can boost party dps like Quick suppression, or ego smt like Hong Lu Dimensional shredder, stack as many buff like those and you good.
This is also why you gotta save Ego resource and tbh prior to floor 4 bosses you shouldn't have too much of issue to beating everyone else without relied on ego, the only exception I can think of is when you meet with Guido as floor 1 bosses but even then, 1 or 2 Ego should be sufficient.
I just forfeit the fight 😎
Though... noted on the Attack Power Down and/or Paralyze.
By picking EGO res generating gifts? I had 10 to 30 of each res and that was with being frugal with my usage. Most fights were done in a 2 to 4 turns. I don't recall ever having obnoxious amounts of resources unless I ended up with the Blue Zippo Lighter or the like. Only had the Disk Fragment that I got on floor 4(?), but I'm no longer taking many turns on the fights I do fight, which leaves me strapped for some of the res I generate little of. I pretty much burned through the accumulated gloom res just by spamming Rime Shank on the second try.
That run, I had the Hurtily 3 robots, the red sheet Liberation dude, the Snake Inquisitor duo (With the poison effect at 50% HP), the Doll and then the bull. All the prior fights were done with minimal EGO usage (From memory... 2 Fluid Sac, 1 Crow's Eye View, 1 Snagharpoon, 1 Bodysack and 1 Rime Shank).
Although I did take a lot of event tiles without fights.
Ego gifts certainly help but i dont relied on it because its random and you dont guarantee to get one. Generally speaking for lower floors, i do not use much ego except for Fluid sac for quick SP gain and heal (its my only healing ego), i think it mosly because im using charge team for the most part and only now im stating to mix Sinking ids into it, charge have plenty of high rolls ids so they were very good in human battle.
For humans/mobs battles, don't be shy to restart the fight if it don't go to your favor because those are the fight where you should gather ego resource instead of spending it, and imo if you are low on ego resources you should deff take those fight over abno events since events will not guarantee to give you smt good or even smt useful, also in most cases Guard/Evade>>S1 so if you get unfavorable clash with S1, use their Guard/Evade, your goal is to generate tons of egos for Floor 4 bosses and 5. I wish I can tell more but most of my experience on MD2H is just Unga-bunga with high rolls ids and spamming Egos on bosses.
